A/N: Thanks for the wonderful reviews! I wasn't really expecting any with this story at all! I hope this next one isn't a let down...
Second Impressions
Polly could not believe that after last week's display of mutual affection, the make-out couple would be back.
The girl was strikingly blond, tall and slender. Her eyes were a startling shade of blue and they rested on the highest check bones Polly had ever seen. She was impossibly gorgeous.
"Do you have anything soy, or low fat?" the blond asked.
Polly looked at the pastry display. "Maybe the bran muffins?" she responded with a shrug.
The blond rolled her eyes and made an angry sigh. "Fine, I'll just have a coffee then, black."
"Calm down, Bee. We talked about this, remember?" the boy next to her spoke.
His back was to Polly but she could tell (anyone could) that to be with a girl like this one, they had to be beautiful in comparison.
"Can I get you anything?" Polly asked the boy.
His hands rested on the counter, his back still facing her. He shrugged and smiled. "No, I hate coffee."
Their eyes meet as he glanced over his shoulder and his hands slipped off the counter causing the blond to gasp and Polly to look away hiding her blush.
"Just the coffee then?" Polly recovered. The boy was facing forward and continued to look at her.
She was wrong about him being beautiful. He was stunning. Polly forgot how to breath when she got her first full look of him.
"Please," the girl said, snapping Polly out of her stupor. The girl's voice was absolutely dripping with false nicety.
The couple sat down by the window in individual chairs this time and said nothing to each other while the girl drank her coffee. Her eyes were focused on the boy across from her where as his eyes kept wandering back to Polly. Both girls noticed this.
A few minutes later, the blond girl and the stunning boy left, but not before he left a lingering glance in Polly's direction.
