10Chapter 1: Randy Miller
It was my first day of senior year and of course I couldn't be more excited! It's a new year with new adventures, getting ready to go to college with my best friend ever Haruna. I was so grateful to have an awesome friend like her. We didn't really become friends at first, we would talk occasionally but we were never close. Eventually we became closer and now were best friends.
She was such a great friend to me and we never really fought about anything. She's a very sweet, kind and humble person and I guess that's the reason why I love her so much. Anyways I think this year is going to be the best year ever but something inside of me felt like I was terribly wrong.
"Honey, get ready for your first day of school."
I heard my Aunt Cathy's voice yell through the door as I slowly woke up. I was happy to go to school but at the same time a little nervous but it was exciting nerves to wonder what will happen his year.
As I got ready for school I could sense the sweet smell of homemade pancakes my aunt would make in special occasions. I could also smell the delicious toast, crispy bacon, and yummy scrambled eggs. I walked downstairs to eat and when I saw the breakfast table it was like a buffet.
"What's all of this?"
"I thought id make you a delicious breakfast for your first day of your senior year. Aren't you excited?"
"Uhh yea super excited." Honestly I think she was more excited than I and she wasn't even the one going to school.
"Well thanks a lot for the breakfast but you didn't have to make so much."
"Oh I didn't realize I made so much. Oh well we can both have a big breakfast feast!"
My aunt can go a little over bored at times but she does it because she cares and I love her for that. We both ate like pigs, well not really but we ate a lot that I don't know if I'm going to be able to eat lunch. We then cleaned up the food.
"So do you know what classes you have?"
"Nope not yet I'll know when I get there." I could care less what classes I had as long as Haruna and I were in the same classes I was ok with that.
We talked for a while longer as we finished putting the food away. Then I ran upstairs, got my things for school and went back downstairs to say bye to my aunt.
"Okay I'm leaving, bye Aunt Cathy." As I opened the door
"Okay sweetie have a good day."
I closed the door and walked down the stairs to get to my car. I drove to school and still thinking of what's going to happen this year. I shouldn't even be thinking so much about it whatever happens happens. I guess it just nerves.
So now I'm at school at the parking lot. I grab my bag and walk to the school office so I can get my schedule for this year. I walked to get my schedule and as I got it I looked through to see the classes I was getting. I was excited for the most part. As I looked up I saw Haruna from a faraway distance with some guy. I couldn't really tell who the guy was.
"Haruna!"
"Hey Alana." she waved and gestured me to come over
"Hey Haruna so this is Randy Miller."
I stood their looking shocked over what she said. "I'm sorry what did you say I don't think I heard you right."
"I'm Randy Miller, nice to see you again Alana."
"Oh so you guys already know each other."
"Uh yea it's a long story. Wait how do you guys know each other?" I felt really shocked and confused at this point.
"We just met right now. We both bumped into each other. Randy and I were making plans to go eat later; you want to come with us?"
"Haruna are you crazy you just met him and your already making plans to hang out for all you know he could be a rapist."
"Hello I'm right here and Alana you've known me for a while now I think you know I'm not a rapist."
"Whatever."
"Oh c'mon please come it'll be fun."
Aww man here comes the quivering lip and the puppy dog eyes, I hated when she did that to me. Usually that's something little kids would do like if they wanted something they'll just give their parents the lip and puppy dog eyes and bam they got it. It's a shame it never worked with me.
"FINE."
"Oh thank you thank you thank you." She sad as she gave me a big hug.
I looked over at Randy and I thought to myself why is he here? Well I guess I'll give you the short version of the story. Randy and I use to be really close when I was younger. He was like my best friend even though we never said it official. But one day I found out he left with out even saying goodbye. Ever since that day I HATED him more than anyone. After that day it was hard for me to trust people and I didn't really want to get close to anyone because they would either hurt me or leave me and unfortunately randy did both.
"Fantasizing about me, huh?"
"What? Who said I was fantasizing about you."
"Man your weird!" he said giving me a strange look
"Shut up! God I hate you." starring at him angrily
He walked towards standing in front of me and grabbed me as if he was going to kiss me "You know you love me." he whispered nearly touching my lips.
He backed away as I stood their still stunned. Gosh why did he just do that? It's like if he came back as if nothing happened, he knows what happened and he knows what he did to me. I just don't get him.
"Alana." I heard Haruna call me as I got out of my daze and walked over to her.
"Oh my gosh Alana, Randy is such a hottie!"
"What are you talking about he is a total jerk and a pain in my ass!"
"Oh c'mon you know he's hot." "What ever can we just talk about something else."
" Fine… Ms. Grouchy pants." She said as I gave her a glare.
"Anyways just be nice okay because I really like him."
"I'll try but I'm not making any promises." "Fine."
So I guess you can tell right know that I haven't told Haruna about my past with Randy. It was just too complicated for me to tell her. I just hope some day she'll the jerk RANDY MILLER really is.
Gosh how ironic is this, this morning I was really excited for this year and BAM here comes Randy to mess it all up. I'm like cursed or something, God really hates me. This year is going to be COMPLICATED!
