10Chapter 9: Apologies & New friendships
It's been a while since Randy and I talked. At school anytime I happened to be where he was he'd have an excuse to leave. I mean it was just a joke I didn't think he'd take it that serious I actually thought he'd be finding a way to get me back and what he's doing could be all an act.
Everyone keeps telling me to apologize to him by I don't see why I should apologize if he gonna act like such a baby. Haruna is even trying to get me to go to a party that Randy is hosting at his house tonight. I mean if it was anyone else's house I would go but Randy's of all the people.
"Just come with me to the party it'll be fun?"
"No Haruna besides I don't think he wants me their. I'm not his favorite person these days and besides I don't really want to go anyway." I said as I was organizing my closet.
"Oh yea then why are you organizing your closet and checking which outfit looks better on you?" she said looking at me with questionable eyes.
"I'm just organizing my closet and checking which outfits I still like so I can throw the rest away."
"Uhuh." she said not believing a word I said as I rolled my eyes at her
"C'mon just come for me ok."
"Why? You don't need me there."
"Just come pretty pretty pleasee." she said as she pouted her lips at me and gave me her puppy dog eyes. I mean she didn't really think I'd fall for that but to my surprise I really couldn't say no to her I mean she's me best friend and she's done so much for me so I'll do this for her."
"Uh! Fine I'll go but I won't like it!" I said glaring at her
"Yeah yeah! Hurry we gotta get you dressed and looking all gussied up missy."
She rummaged through my closet looking for something I can wear, considering some options but wasn't so much satisfied until she saw this short blue strapless dress and my black heels. I then quickly got dressed and she went to do my makeup. Haruna softly placed the black eyeliner around my eyes and then planted some blue eye shadow to match my dress. Lastly, she smeared some clear lip gloss across my lips. I was glad when she finally finished.
I was surprised when I turned to look in the mirror. I didn't think I'd look as good as I thought I did though a couple of people told me before I would look amazingly gorgeous if I put more makeup on but I didn't really believe it but now it's like wow I'm a really bangin chick. Not getting myself too cocky though cuz I'm not I'm just realizing my beauty I guess. I stopped looking at myself and grab my hells and slipped them on my feet.
"Alright are you ready to party!" Haruna yelled so eager to go but I was just so not ready to go. It will just be way too awkward and I don't like awkwardness.
So we headed to the party with no time to spare and we both walked up to the steps and suddenly my heart was pounding and it began racing very face so I had to start gasping for air to get it to slow down. My palms even started to sweat a little and I then whipped it off with my dress. I know it's gross but what is a girl to do. Haruna and I then walked in and I was shocked with how many people were here. This place was completely packed with people dancing in one end and others drinking beer and ewww I just saw someone vomit! Eww gross so something I did not want to see.
Oh no Randy jus spotted Haruna and is now walking towards us.
"Hey babe glad you can make it. What is she doing here?" he asked in a disgusted manner as he kissed Haruna on the cheek and then turned to look at me.
"Oh c'mon why won't you guys just makeup and stop fitting so we can all be friends again." Haruna said
"Well if someone wouldn't act like a big bab-" I got elbowed by Haruna's arm "Oww."
"Uh Alana just came here to tell you something." she said glaring at me and giving me the tell him your sorry look. Dammit! Oh well I guess I'm gonna have to some how just why now. I guess I'm a little fed up with the stupid fighting to. I'll play nice with him.. For now.
"Well I just wanted to say I'm so-.." I looked down "I'm sorry ok!" I said looking away and could swear I saw a smirk emerging on his face as I looked away
"Ok fine I forgive you." he said
"Yeah! Finally ok now we can party." Haruna said with a smile on her face as she dragged Randy to the dance floor and began dancing.
As I watched them for a moment Randy really knew how to dance and he wasn't just a good dancing because from what I see he's a great dancer as I see his getting closer to Haruna as they begin grinding in the dance floor. He looked really nice when we first walked in. He was wearing a nice silk black shirt and black pants. His hair looked nice silked back but I prefered when it fell on his face. I then stopped myself ramble and headed to the table to get some wine to drink.
I guess I just needed to wine down so maybe I can forget this night ever happen and maybe even forget that the infamous Randy Miller has come back into my life. I the looked around and never noticed how big Randy's house was feeling a little curious I headed up the stairs o see how it was like. It was even more beautiful than I imagined with pictures of him and his family in the wall. I even saw a picture of him when he was 5 and he looked so adorable with his smile.
Curious to see how one of the rooms looked like I opened the door to the first room I saw. The room looked a little messy but not to messy that clothes wear lying on the floor or anything like that. The walls had posters of bands and their was a shelf stacked with cd's. I then sat down on the bed and lied down and put my hands on my face and wondered what I'm still doing here.
"What are you doing in my room?" I quickly jumped up as I heard a males voice and when took my hands off of my face I looked to see that it was Randy.
"Oh uhh sorry I didn't know it was your room." I said "Why are you on my bed?" he asked
"I was just uh.." feeling a little flustered and I knew the perfect answer to that question it was just that my mouth didn't feel like talking at the moment. "I'm going home." I said as I stood up and headed towards the door.
"No wait Alana stay." he asked
I stopped then turned around waiting to see what he wanted.
"So what did you want?" I asked
"uhh do you remember this picture of you and me when we were younger and we were at the beach?" he said as I walked up to him to take a look at it. I actually do remember this, we were so happy that day.
"Yea I actually do."
"Yeah do you remember what happened that day? That was the day you and I promised to always be their for each other." He said as he looked at me. I then looked at him for a moment then turned to look back at the photo.
"Yeah, your mom was so great every time I would come over she always made brownies for me and would always let me lick the spoon." I said smiling "Oh yeah and remember when we all had a food fight and the batter and fudge was every where. That was so much fun and we all laughed so much."
"Well yea that was all in the pass." I said putting the picture down on the side of the bed as I sat down.
He sat down beside me as he turned toward me ready to say something. "Ana what happened to us?" I looked down not really sure how to answer his question and we both sat there for a moment in silence.
"Umm I think we should go back to the party so-" he grabbed my arm and I turned to look at him.
"Just talk to me ok. Tell me what happened? Why you have this long hatred towards me?"
"Maybe you shouldn't have broken your promise." I said staring at the ground
"Promise what do you mean?" he asked looking confused "That day on the picture you said that you will always be their for me and that you would never leave me. I always felt so alone back then and no one cared but when I met you I felt happy again but then one day when I go to your house I see it empty and your whole family was gone. You left without even saying a goodbye or anything." I explained as tears began to fall from my eyes and I turned to look at him
"I really missed you! I had to go through everyday with my dad drinking and verbally abusing me and my mom being a coward and just watching it all happen without doing anything." I explained as my tears keep falling down and I felt Randy move forward me and rap his arms around me letting me cry on his shoulder.
"Oh Ana I'm so sorry for everything and all the pain I caused you It's just that my mom was planning on moving a while ago and I couldn't talk her out of staying so I never wanted to leave but I just couldn't do anything about it but also at the same time I didn't really know how to talk you through the situation you were in so I was a little scared. I'm so sorry."
My tears finally began to stop and I slight whipped a few of them with my fingers. "I'm sorry about your shirt." he smiled "oh it's ok." he said as he handed me a tissue "Thank you."
I then laid down on the bed and Randy did the same. He then grabbed my hand and began to rub it gently. With his thumb he gently caressed it. I just felt at ease when he did that as I closed my eyes and get into my happy place.
"Ana." he said as I opened my eyes and turned to look at him in the face.
"I really am sorry about before."
"it's fine. It's in the past it's over and done with we can't do anything about it." I said
"Yeah I guess you right."
"We can just forget about it and just be friends."
"Friends? Were friends now?" he looked at me surprised
"Oh shut up!" I said as I watched his smirk on his face as he stood up. "I'm sorry I'm just so happy that your finally being nice to me." he said smiling
I then stood up. "Well I'm being generous today so yea I'm offering you my friendship."
"I will gladly take it." he said smiling. I smiled back happy to see that we didn't have to be like cats and dogs with each other. It can just be normal again.

To be honest i don't really like this chapter but atleast they got their issues resolved. Sorry for the long delay is just that it's hard to get inspiration these days.
