I've liked him for a while – the only problem is he's one my brothers closest friends. Sometimes I think he's staring at me but lately he's been spending more time with my younger sister than with me. He hasn't really spoken to me since he hugged me about a year ago. It hurts.

She's my best friend's sister – I can't believe out of all the girls I could have fallen in love with it had to be her. I only realised it when I jokingly asked for a hug as my sister had given her one. She stuck out her tongue but complied. She was so beautiful and I had the sudden urge to kiss her.

We were at his house – we go there often because the get-togethers our family friends had often were always held here. This time it was Christmas; it being a week before Christmas. He didn't even say hello – he just introduced me to the exchange student staying with them.

I couldn't even say hi to her I was so nervous. I managed to introduce her to the exchange student but that's as much as I could say. I wanted to tell her how I felt but I felt like I was 11 years old again trying to ask out my crush.

On New Year's we were kind of talking – well I was talking to a friend of his (and my brothers) because their friend was being a jerk. He was going on about how girls should watch their weight etc if they wanted to look beautiful. I turned around and told him there is no such thing is beauty. He looked at confused and dumbstruck.

She confused him and admittedly me as little as well. He walked away from her huffing, I looked at her for an explanation. "Beauty is just a perspective therefore it does not exist – nor does ugliness." I looked closely at her face; she was completely sincere – she meant every word. "That's deep," I said. "It's what I believe," she said but ducked her head and blushed but I saw her smile, which was rare now days.

I kissed him on the cheek just before I left, "Happy New Year." I didn't even tell him how I felt – I was so surprised that I had the sudden burst of courage that made me kiss him.

She kissed me! She kissed me! Admittedly on the cheek but still – she kissed me! By the time I had gotten over my shock she had left. Damn if only I had told her how I feel about her. Hopefully she likes me back...the kiss must mean something mustn't it?

Another family get together. Everyone was playing around the world (table tennis) – she was so nice to her little sister and laughing whenever she herself hit it out. He wanted to talk to her but she was always with someone – she was never alone. Two hours later he was struggling not to grab her and drag he off into a corner and tell her when someone suggested they go for a swim. He cursed the idiot that mentioned it as she loved swimming. She took his breath away when she took off her shirt and skirt to reveal a plain black bikini. In the water he brushed against her and almost went over the edge – her skin was so smooth, so soft.

When he finally managed to find her alone she was sitting in the V of a tree quietly singing. He could help himself; he kissed the side of her neck. She jerked back and hit his nose and he ended up lying on his back. "Oh! I'm so sorry! Are you ok?"

"Ow."

"I'm so sorry! Do you need an icepack or something?"

"Or something."

"What?"

"I don't need an icepack but I think it might help if you kissed it better."

She blushed but kissed the tip of his nose.

He grinned. "I think you might have knocked my lip too."

She hesitated. He looked up "Unless you don't like me."

"I do!" she lowered her voice and continued, "It's just... I've never kissed a guy before."

He looked at her curiously, "You've kissed girls?"

She put her hands on her hips and stuck her tongue at him. "No!"

Before she knew what had happened he had sat up and captured her lips (and tongue) with his own. It felt like she had stuck her finger in an electric socket while she was soaking wet; electricity running through her veins.

She was on his lap, running her hands through his hair with him sucking at her bottom lip when a spotlight was shone on them. "Finally!"

They were both red – flushed and blushing – and they stood up; keeping their hands to themselves. "What?" he asked.

"You two have liked each other forever! We were betting when you were going to get together."

"We're not together," she smiles at their family friend. "We were just making out." She smiled at him and gave him one last peck on the lips before walking away.

"Hey!" he said as he grabbed her arm and turned her to face him. "What do you mean – just making out? Is that all that it was to you?"

She mouth opened and closed several times before she would say the words, "You ... you actually mean it? I lik-", she paused. "Well I shouldn't lie, I might as well jump in the deep end I'm going to get wet anyway – I love you. No that wasn't just 'making out' I felt like I had stuck my finger in an electric socket – it was an unforgettable experience."

Now it was his turn to gape like a fish, "You love me? This isn't a dream?"

She grinned, "Well I really hope not – because then I asked me to kiss me better before."

"Well if this was a dream you hitting me shouldn't have hurt," he replied grinning back.

She reached up and kissed him, "Way more then making out?"

"Much, much more," he agreed, leaning down to kiss her again.
