Slave
Chapter Thirty One
After arriving at the house, Olivia and Damon decided that they'd shower and change into their pajamas before reconvening in the living room. Damon, who would have been satisfied going directly to the living room reluctantly agreed to shower first after pleas from Olivia, who insisted on showering first, feeling dirty from the mixture of ranch dressing and saliva on her chest as well as from the beach sand dusted on her feet.
Entering her bedroom after her shower, Olivia found that all of the clothes from her shopping earlier that day had been placed in her closet and drawers.
Going through the clothes, Olivia threw on a pair of panties and a sports bra along with a baggy black t-shirt and a pair of gray shorts.
Happy and comfortable with new less revealing clothes, Olivia made her way out of her room, finding Damon's door still shut.
...
After they'd come back home, they both agreed to take showers then meet back in the living room to watch TV and just chill out, deciding that spending another night together closed off from the rest of the house would be risky.
He looked forward to going to the living room and spending more time with Olivia, even if they could no longer be together like they had at the Bistro.
It was still crazy for him to think about the things that had happened in that day.
"I was dumb enough to let her leave." He thought, sighing as he sat dripping on his bed, a towel wrapped around his waist. "But she didn't; she stayed here, with me. All the terrible things that have happened to her and that still could happen, and she stayed." He sighed. "And she loves me, which is fine because I love her too. I still can't believe I told her that, I've never told any girl that I loved her… not and meant it at least, then again... Olivia isn't just any girl."
Suddenly, Damon was woken from his thoughts by a knock at the door.
"Come in." He called anxiously, waiting to see Olivia.
..."How did I beat him out?" Olivia asked herself curiously eyeing his closed door, but shrugged off the thought and continued down the stairs. "He'll be down soon." She thought as she continued to the living room where she grabbed a remote control and plopped down, stretching out across the couch as she turned on the television.
"Hey kid, welcome back." Tim said as he entered the living room.
"Oh, hey Tim." Olivia replied sitting up.
"Mind if I join you?" He asked nodding towards one of the couches, watching as Olivia shook her head in response. "Enjoy your day?" He asked as he took a seat on a couch next to the one she was on.
"It went...better than I expected." She shrugged as she leaned onto the couch, smiling inwardly as she thought about the events from earlier in the day.
"That's good." He nodded in approval of her response. "So, I see brunch went a little longer than expected."
"Yeah, Demona decided she wanted to go shopping afterwards."
"Ah, so, how did you like your first real Demona experience?" He asked with a smirk.
"She's...interesting, but I like her." She giggled, still a little tipsy from the wine.
"Okay, so I take it you've been okay today?" He asked eyeing her skeptically.
"Just fine." She smiled, averting her eyes from his.
"Really? So...no more-."
"Nope, none." She replied hesitantly cutting him off. "So, uh, how was your day?" Olivia asked, deciding to change the subject.
"Decent, pretty quiet around the house today." He shrugged.
"Do people ever break in?" Olivia asked the question now heavy on her mind. "Or is quiet a usual thing."
"Oh yeah, people break onto the grounds or disguise themselves as maids or butlers to get in; but I get'em out before any harm is done." He shrugged, the facts from his career no longer amusing him.
"That's kinda creepy, thinking that people just come in."
"Well, I mean break-ins can happen anywhere, it's just that with all of their money, the Young's are a pretty huge target. They aren't just rich, they're wealthy and unless someone just really really fucks up, you can't get rid of wealth." Tim spoke nonchalantly, his eyes drifting behind Olivia to the entrance. "Oh, hey Damon." Tim continued as Damon entered the room causing Olivia to turn and face him as well, her face instantly breaking into a smile until she saw the scowl on his face.
"Tim." Damon said plainly, wearing a wife-beater and a pair of dark green pajama bottoms, nodding his head towards him as he took a seat next to Olivia. "So, what are you two talking about?" He asked, casually placing an arm around Olivia.
"Just telling Olivia about work and hearing about her day." Tim shrugged as his cell phone began to ring. "Excuse me." He said before answering the call.
"I had some company a little while ago, that's what took me so long." Damon said quietly, turning his attention back to Olivia, taking the remote from her and flipping through the channels.
"Oh really?" Olivia said in shock. "Who was it?"
"My dad."
"Are you serious?" Olivia asked, a mixture of shock and fear sweeping over her. "What did he want."
"Well…" Damon started; smiling mischievously then pressed his mouth against hers.
"Let me call you back." Tim mumbled into his phone, turning to face the display.
Olivia stared at Damon's closed eyes in shock as he kissed her, her body becoming stiff and rigid, still conscious of Tim's presence in the room. In a few short moments, Damon pulled away and turned back to face the TV as if nothing had happened.
"Alright…" Tim started off slowly, uncomfortable with what had just happened between Damon and Olivia but unsure of how to respond. "So Olivia, you said you went shopping; get anything?"
"Yeah, I got a few-." Olivia started to respond but shakily stopped, feeling Damon's mouth against her neck.
"Don't stop because of me." Damon said, wrapping his arm around her waist then continued kissing and sucking her neck.
"Damon…" Olivia gasped suddenly, feeling him smirk against her, embarrassment instantly washing over her as she imagined the look she was getting from Tim.
"Hmm?" He asked, sitting up and looking at her innocently, mischief clearly dancing in his eyes.
Olivia's face frowned in confusion as she stared back at Damon.
"What's going on here?" Demona asked in a suspecting tone as she and Devin entered the living room, a bag in each of their hands.
"Nothing much, just chillin'." Damon shrugged, the mischief still clearly present.
"Alright." Demona said skeptically taking seat on one of the remaining couches, Devin taking a seat beside her.
"Feeling any better Olivia?" Devin asked, skeptically viewing her flushed cheeks.
"Yeah, much better." Olivia smiled weakly, still not sure what was going on with Damon.
"Good." Demona and Devin commented.
"Whuddup Tim?" Devin said acknowledging Tim's presence who for some reason seemed surprisingly shocked.
"Uh, nothing much." Tim replied, shaking his head repeatedly as though to shake away the shock.
"So, what are we watching?" Demona asked, pulling a small box and a pair of chopsticks from the bag.
"I don't know." Damon replied, tossing the remote her way, never taking his attention away from Olivia.
"Ah thanks, now lets see what's on." Demona said flipping through the channels. "You know, you two missed a great movie."
"Yeah, Demona got scared and started screaming in the theater." Devin chuckled, laughing harder as Demona hit him.
"Really-?" Olivia started to respond but suddenly felt Damon's lips hungrily press against hers, causing the room to go silent. He smiled against the kiss, feeling her hesitate to respond, so he gently allowed his mouth to travel down her neck and near her ear, causing her to groan quietly.
"That's better." He whispered quietly, pulling away to see Demona, Devin, and Tim staring at them wide-eyed; shock evident on Olivia's face as well. "What?" He asked innocently.
Devin and Demona turned to look at each other then back at Damon in shock, a smile spreading across Demona's face. "Oh nothing." She shrugged. "Hmm, let's watch Rush Hour." She commented as she came across Jackie Chan's face on the television screen, choosing not to say anything about Damon's display.
"Uh, I need to check on some things." Tim said excusing himself from the room in disgust.
"Bye Tim." Damon called, the smirk still on his face before he leaned in to kiss Olivia again.
"Stop!" Olivia grunted quietly, shock and worry clearly evident on her face as she gently placed her hands on his chest to hold him back. "What are you doing!"
"What's wrong?" He asked quietly as well. "I thought you liked this, that you liked me." He cooed quietly, gently tracing his fingers down her cheek.
"You know I do!" She replied through frustration.
"Well, I talked to my dad and well…" He trailed off, the mischief still dancing in his eyes.
"You mean...we don't have to hide anymore? You don't have to force me or hurt me anymore?" She asked skeptically, attempting not to get her hopes up, still keeping the volume in her voice low enough so that only he could hear her.
"Hmm, I don't have to do any of that stuff anymore, but I don't know, forcing you against walls and telling you to do what I want got a little fun." He said smiling as he took Olivia into his arms and laid her against the armrest of the couch in a fit of giggles, hovering over her before wrapping his arms around her body and kissing her.
After a few minutes, they stretched out across the couch, Olivia in Damon's arms, and simply watched the movie; the occasional nibbling on the neck by Damon.
"Damon," Olivia started quietly. "Is there a nearby bathroom, or do I have to go upstairs?"
"Yeah baby girl," Damon started as he sat up, lifting her with him. "Back to the main hall and to the left, past the dinning room and you'll see a small hall on the right; you can't miss it."
"Alright, I'll be back." She said quietly as she stood up and walked away.
Once Olivia was out of the room, Devin and Demona, who up until this point had been silently watching the movie quickly turned to face Damon.
"Alright." Devin started first as Demona muted the television. "I know I said I'd back off, but damn that's fast!" He chuckled.
"You two sure looked lovey-dovey." Demona added happily as she viewed the still present grin on Damon's face.
"I don't know what you're talking about.? Damon shrugged in response, unable to hold back his grin; today had been one of the best he's ever had.
"Oh really?" Demona continued as she crossed her legs and folded her hands in her lap; her food placed on the table in front of her. "And I take it my conversation with dad has nothing to do with this sudden change."
"Mona, you said something to dad?" Damon asked wide-eyed.
"Of course." Mona shrugged, firmly holding her position on the couch. "You may have tried to front with your feelings, but I broke Olivia and got her to break down and admit her feelings for you real quick. You didn't actually think he'd change his mind about something without some encouragement did you? Piece of cake."
"So wait," Devin started out, hesitantly turning to Mona. "Did dad tell you everything about why she's here."
"No," she replied, shaking her head in response. "And frankly, I don't want to know. But whatever it is, I know you knuckle heads should be ashamed of yourselves." She added as she swung at Devin, popping him upside the back of his head.
"Why did you hit me? I didn't do anything!" He argued in his defense, being met with Demona's narrowed eyes.
"You got hit because you're closer." She replied plainly. "And don't try to play me damnit, I don't know what your plan was, but I know you had one because I know you. Damon's easier because he's more straight forward...usually, but he did throw me for a loop hiding his feelings for this girl." She continued, watching a mischievous grin spread across Devin's face, Damon laughing at Demona's attack and analysis of the boys. "But your sneaky ass plays too many games!"
"A plan eh?" Devin started, nodding his head, the smile still present on his face. "Something like be really nice to her until I-?"
"Wait! Stop, stop, stop, stop!" Demona interrupted, shaking her head and rubbing a hand over her face. "Devin, hear me when I say this, I do not want to know the details of whatever your sick little mind came up with. Besides, whatever it is, I'm sure Damon won't be happy to hear it."
"Oh, he knows." Devin shrugged.
"What the hell?" Demona shot out as she quickly turned to Damon.
"Long story." Damon sighed as he ran a hand through his braids, considering the fact that there was actually a time where he was going to let Devin take advantage of Olivia and not care; but he did now. "Doesn't matter, it's squashed now, right Devin?"
"Of course." Devin said, nodding his head in agreement. "So Mona, what did you say to dad?"
"Well, I just convinced him that whatever is or was going on, was hurting Damon and you know he won't do anything to hurt any of us. So…" She continued now turning to face Damon, a satisfied smirk on her face. "You're welcome."
Damon hopped up from his position on the couch and quickly wrapped his arms around Demona, hugging her in appreciation. "Thank you so much Mona."
"No problem," she shrugged as she hugged him back. "That's what your big sister is here for."
"Hold up, hold up." Devin started again. "Damon, I thought you said you didn't like or care about Olivia."
"I don't…" Damon shrugged.
"The hell!" Demona growled, hitting him upside his head in frustration.
"Ouch!" Damon hissed. "Let me finish!" He continued, rubbing the spot where she'd hit him, smiling inwardly as looked at Demona's angry and Devin's amused faces. "I don't like her, I love her…"
Wide-eyed, Demona and Devin faced each other again then turned back to Damon.
"Aw!" Demona cried out, quickly wrapping his arms around Damon and kissing his cheek. "My little brother is growing up!"
...
She could've waited to go to the bathroom, it's not like it was an emergency or anything, she just needed a minute to think.
Everything was actually working out!
Damon loved her, she loved him, they apparently no longer had to hide it although she wasn't sure why... She'd left the house and had been promised to go out again soon and in general, everything seemed to be coming together.
Happily, Olivia washed her hands and left the bathroom only to be met with someone leaning against the wall outside of the restroom.
"Tim," Olivia gasped. "You scared me." She sighed.
"Sorry about that kid." He shrugged. "I just wanted to talk to you for a minute away from everyone." He continued, his jaw tightly clenched together.
"Um, okay." She nodded quietly; sure that she knew what he was going to say.
"So, what was up with Damon's lil display out there?" He asked, folding his arms as he remained against the wall.
"What do you mean?" She asked hesitantly, watching Tim's jaw tighten more as he nodded his head.
"I thought I asked you not to patronize me." Tim sighed in frustration.
"I'm not trying to…"
"Alright then, honestly, what just happened out there?"
"Me and Damon…" Olivia started hesitantly. "We're kind of seeing each other I guess."
Tim's eyes widened and then quickly narrowed in disbelief. "Are you serious? Olivia I thought you were smarter than that."
"Yes, I am serious." Olivia replied somewhat angrily, unsure of why she had to defend her newfound relationship. "Tim, what's the big deal, I mean we love-."
"Ah, so he said he loved you." Tim chuckled, his arms folded in amusement.
"Yeah he did," Olivia replied angrily, folding her arms as well, failing to find the humor in their affection.
"And you believe him?" He scoffed.
"Yes I do! And why wouldn't I? Huh?" She asked loudly, her anger building. "Is it that difficult to believe that he could love me?"
"Oh stop it." Tim spat, waving a hand to disregard her assumption. "You know damn well that that's not what I meant."
"Then what do you mean?" She asked angrily, tears pricking at her eyes.
"I mean this!" He growled angrily, grabbing her arm and pulling her closer to him before lifting her t-shirt and revealing the bruises across her abdomen. "Or did you forget how you got this way?"
"Let go of me!" She hissed, tears now streaming down her face and quickly he obliged.
"I'm not trying to upset you," Tim started again much calmer. "I'm just trying to understand...trying to get you to understand how bad Damon is for you." He continued, pausing to see Olivia crying in front of him. "I know I shouldn't pass judgment, since, well, I'm not the most innocent person in the world...but still, this entire family is shady and you're too nice to get involved with them, especially if this is how you're treated."
"That was a one time thing." Olivia replied, her cries stopping even though the tears continued to flow.
"Are you actually defending him?"
"Yes!"
"Alright, so tell me Olivia, does one time make it okay?"
"Well..."
"How many beatings would it take for it to become a problem?" He strained in frustration, trying to contain his anger. "Huh Olivia? How many black eyes, busted lips, bruises, or concussions until it becomes a problem?
"But this is different!"
How many battered women do you think there are getting raped and abused saying it was just one time or thinking that their situation is different than someone else's because of love? Or what about the ones that are murdered, they don't get the chance to say that do they Olivia, because it only takes one time damnit!
"It's not the same! He would never-!"
"Shut up!" He continued in frustration. "You know, you sound really stupid right now; as dumb as the women you hear about or see on TV getting beat in bad relationships but won't leave because they're in love."
"Why are you doing this..." Olivia asked quietly through her tears, Tim managing to bring her to a place where she felt lower than ever before.
"Because!" He growled then sighed and became more calm, wrapping his arms around her. "Because, I've seen women like you get treated this way, and I don't want to again. Besides, I know these people, I know Devin, Damon, and their whole family, and I know that you'll be hurt; but I can't help you if you won't let me. So I'm doing this to try and get you to let me."
"Tim, I don't need your help." Olivia said quietly, wiping her eyes, Tim's arms still around her.
"Yes you do," he whispered quietly in her ear. "You do need my help, I know it; but until you want it, there's nothing I can do. When you're ready, I'm here." He added before pulling away from her. "Come on, I'll walk you back to the living room."
Olivia nodded her head in response, unable to say anything else.
Quickly, she began wiping her eyes and taking deep breaths to stop herself from crying.
"I really didn't mean to make you this upset." Tim said quietly as he gently rubbed her back, then moved away quickly, feeling her tense at his touch.
"It's fine." She shrugged as they reached the living room, the lights now off, the television being the only source of illumination.
"Hey baby," Damon said quietly, holding out his arms for her to sit with him which she anxiously did, aching for comfort. "You alright?" He asked, quietly whispering into her ear, feeling her breathe shakily against him.
"Yeah, I'm fine." She sighed as she wrapped her arms around him.
"Good." He sighed as he leaned against the arm rest, keeping her in his arms as he turned, allowing her to lay on top of him. "Here," he said as he reached behind him and pulled out a blanket, then spread it over their bodies.
"Thank you." She mumbled into his chest, her eyes momentarily meeting Tim's, causing her to simply close her eyes and enjoy the warmth of Damon's body.
"So, what do you all want to watch?" Demona asked, once again flipping through the channels.
"Just pick a movie Mona." Devin shrugged.
"How about What's Love Got To Do With It?" Tim asked, as he glanced at Olivia, watching her eyes fly open.
"Ike and Tina?" Demon asaid, shaking her head skeptically. "Nah, I don't think so."
"Okay, so how about Enough?" Tim tried again, ignoring the glare he was receiving from Olivia.
"Hmm, that was a good movie," Demona thought aloud. "J. Lo did good, sure, let's watch it."
"How about something a little more easy going." Damon interrupted, for some reason a movie about an abusive wife-beating husband not being top on his watch list.
"Easy going like what?" Demona replied.
"I don't know; how about Friday or something." Damon shrugged.
"Soul Plane!" Devin exclaimed, a smile on his face as he thought about the movie.
"Yes!" Damon quickly agreed.
"But Soul Plane is so stupid." Demona groaned.
"It's a good night to watch something stupid." Devin replied, smiling as he hopped up and put the movie in.
"Whatever," Demona sighed. "Hold up though, Damon and Olivia are comfortable, I want to put on my PJs too!" She added as she hopped off of the couch and bounced out of the room.
"That's a good idea." Devin sighed as he began to leave the room. "Come on Tim, you might as well get comfortable too if you're going to hang out."
"Alright," Tim sighed, getting up from his seat, glancing down at Olivia and Damon as he followed Devin and Demona out of the room.
"Good, we're alone." Damon groaned as he sat up, lifting Olivia with him.
"Wait, I thought we didn't have to hide any more?" Olivia started, worry washing over her.
"Oh no, I didn't mean to worry you," he said smiling. "We definitely don't have to hide." He said as he began kissing her neck.
"I still don't understand," Olivia said quietly as she ran her hand through his braids while he kissed her. "What changed? Why don't we have to hide?"
"Mona talked to my dad, I don't know what she said exactly, but whatever it was made him come to my room and talk to me about your situation." Damon started as he thought about the conversation he'd had with his dad. "He started casually, wishing me a happy belated birthday and asking me about the party and my gifts." He continued, smiling mischievously at Olivia, causing her to blush uneasily.
"What did you tell him?"
"Just that I had fun, and that it was one of my best parties." He spoke against her neck.
"Wait, but then how did I come up?"
"Well, he wanted to see how I was doing after pissing me off the other night... and that led him to ask and see how you were doing, and-."
"Hold on, what about the other night?"
"Well, I tried to get Tim fired the other night, and he told me no." Damon sighed.
"You did what? Why?" Olivia asked in shock.
"I think he likes you, and well, I got a little jealous seeing him in bed with you..." Damon started, his frustration building. "And he said some things that just...I just wanted him gone, okay."
"Okay." Olivia said as she nodded her head, deciding to drop the subject.
"Anyways," Damon continued. "He told me that Demona had been talking to him a lot and blowing up his phone trying to find out about you. Apparently Mona likes you and somehow knew that he had something to do with how I was treating you."
"Oh, well she asked me about it at the store earlier."
"What? What did she say?"
"Well, she asked me if I liked you." She mumbled in response.
"What did you say?"
"Well, she didn't leave it alone so I ended up saying yes," Olivia replied quietly. "Then she asked if your dad was the reason you treated me like a stranger when we were around people. I didn't answer, but I guess she took it as a yes."
"Leave it to Demona." Damon chuckled in response.
"I don't understand, I just told her that stuff today at the last store we were at." Olivia started skeptically. "How could she have gotten back to your dad that quick?"
"With that phone of hers, she probably was texting him the whole time they were in the theater. " Damon thought aloud. "She does not let business get away from her."
"I'm glad." Olivia sighed quietly.
"Me too," he sighed, holding her body tighter. "So, you wanna tell me what happened when you went to the bathroom?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean I'm sure Tim's smart ass said something about me kissing you; then had the nerve to come back in here trying to be slick requesting movies like Enough and What's Love got to do with it."
"He fussed, and fussed, and fussed some more," Olivia sighed. "But it doesn't matter. I don't care what he or anybody else thinks, Ilove you, and that's all that matters." She said then felt Damon lay her across the other end of the couch and begin kissing her as he straddled her body.
"Mmm I love you," he groaned through the kiss, sliding his hands up her shirt and caressing her bare skin as he spread her legs and positioned himself between her thighs.
"Hey-hey-hey!" Demona started as she re-entered the room, her hair now wrapped up in a yellow tie, matching the stars on her blue pajamas, a pink blanket loosely wrapped around her shoulders. "Let's keep it PG-13 in here youngins!"
Olivia quickly began pushing Damon backwards causing him to laugh as he freed her, allowing her to sit up, the embarrassment on her face hidden through the dark but clearly evident by her movements.
"I was just playing Olivia." Demona chuckled as she took a seat back on the couch. "Really, enjoy each other's company, just uh, not too much while I can see you."
Olivia shook her head, still embarrassed then hesitantly spoke, "Demona."
"Just Mona." She shrugged as she picked her food up again.
"Mona, thank you." Olivia said quietly, then felt Damon place his arm around her and rub her shoulder, watching as Demona smiled and shrugged her shoulder.
"No problem."
"No, you don't understand, I-."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa," Demona started, waving her hand to emphasize her words. "You're right Olivia, I don't understand, and I don't want to try to either. I know my family is...odd, but for some strange reason you like this knuckle head, and he loves you; would I be right to say you love him to?" She asked, watching as Olivia nodded her head anxiously in agreement. "I thought as much. Well, while I don't understand why you'd want to be with this thing-." She continued, nodding her head towards Damon, only to be interrupted.
"Damn Mona, I thought you were on my side!" He shot out.
"I am! I was just trying to say that I hope you two are happy together."
"We are...will be." Damon replied before gently placing a kiss on Olivia's cheek as Tim and Devin re-entered the room; each now in their pajamas.
"Good." Demona nodded in approval. "Now, can we watch the movie?" Demona asked as she reached for the remote that controlled the DVD player. Receiving no objections, she pressed 'play' and watched as the movie came on.
"Damon," Olivia whispered quietly.
"Yeah baby?"
"Where are our leftovers?"
"You hungry now?"
"Yeah, a little." She replied, seeing Devin and Demona eating sending a twinge through her stomach.
"Alright," He replied then reached and pressed a button underneath a nearby coffee table; almost instantly a butler was to his side.
"Yes master Damon?" The butler said quietly as he approached, seeing Damon wave his finger at him indicating that he was the caller. Leaning down, the butler listened as Damon mumbled some things into his ear. "Yes sir." He replied then walked away.
"You don't ever get tired of being called master Damon?" Olivia asked quietly as Damon began laughing at the movie; Olivia somehow missing the humor in a man getting stuck in a toilet then and watching his dog get caught in an airplane propeller.
"Hmm," Damon started mischievously, leaning into her ear. "How 'bout I have you call me master for a while later tonight, see how long it takes me to get tired of it."
"Uhm-uhm, I've never giving you a reason to call me a slave ever again." She grumbled.
"Aw, why not?" He started quietly as he nibbled on her ear. "It could be fun, maybe get some handcuffs involved."
"You're crazy." Olivia mumbled as pulled the blanket around her body again, leaning into Damon. "It's getting colder, isn't it?"
"Yeah, it is." Damon responded, lifting her hips and placing her in between his legs as he leaned against the armrest.
"So can you get somebody to turn the heat up?"
"Why would I do that?"
"Because it's cold!"
"I know, I asked him to turn the air up." He shrugged, gently massaging her breasts under the cover of the blanket, feeling her nipples start to awaken from his actions as well as from the cold.
"It's already cold outside, why… why would you do that?" She asked quietly, beginning to shiver from his actions.
"How else would I get you like this under the covers?" He mumbled against her neck, gently kissing a spot near her ear as he pinched her nipple, causing her to quietly moan, the sound barely audible by the sounds of the television, her eyes fluttering close.
Suddenly, the room filled with the same aroma from the Bistro; the strong and appetizing scent of fillet mignon and stuffed baked potatoes filling the room.
"Your food master Damon, and yours as well Miss." The butler said quietly as he re-entered the living room, setting two trays with drinks on the table, their food no longer in the carry-out boxes they'd been brought home in but now on crystal platters.
"Thank you," Damon replied quietly as well, dismissing the butler.
"What the hell is this?" Devin growled looking, but more so smelling their leftovers.
"Uh, leftovers?" Damon shrugged as Olivia, much to his dismay, left his lap to pick up her tray.
"Leftovers? From what?" Devin continued, eyeing the pieces of steak on Olivia's plate.
"They went back to the damn Bistro." Demona hissed, able to identify the food from her favorite restaurant instantly.
"Went back to? When the hell did they do that?" Devin asked turning to Demona, Olivia and Tim merely watching the argument.
"If I had to guess genius, I'd say after they left the theater." Demona stated as she rolled her eyes, taking another bite of her Chinese food. "Right Damon?"
"Yup." Damon shrugged, reaching up for the drink off of his tray.
"Hold on, Olivia, I thought you were sick?" Devin asked attempting to piece together the situation, his words causing Tim to turn to Olivia, obviously concerned after hearing she'd been sick.
"Lovesick is more like it." Demona mumbled, a smirk resting on her face.
"Chill Mona," Damon stated, rolling his eyes as she laughed. "She was nauseous so we went to eat to settle her stomach."
"Sure...So Olivia," Demona started, her happy demeanor returning. "How did you like the Bistro at night?"
"I loved it," Olivia replied smiling. "I mean all of the lights and things looked so beautiful. And the beach-." She continued only to be met with Damon's hand covering her mouth.
"Hold on, he took you to the beach?" Demona asked shocked, turning to face Devin then quickly back to the two.
Olivia blinked confusedly, turning to face Damon as she removed his hand from her mouth, watching as he shook his head in dismay.
"Olivia," Demona started out then changed her mind and turned her attention to Damon. "You took her to the beach?"
"Yeah, so?" Damon asked, his eyes narrowed, instructing his sister to drop it.
"What's the big deal about the beach?" Olivia asked looking between the siblings, Tim simply watching the scene unfold, clearly amused by the display.
"Nothing, they're just jealous of your food, ignore them." Damon shrugged, as he took a gulp of his drink.
"But Damon," Devin started, the shock still apparent on his face. "You haven't been to the beach since..." He continued, trailing off as he viewed the distress on his brother's face; for some reason he found the situation strangely humorous.
"Seriously," Olivia started again. "What's up with the beach?"
"It's not important, I'll talk to you about it later." He said quietly.
"Alright." She replied hesitantly, shrugging her shoulders as she leaned against the armrest opposite Damon and turned back to her food.
"What are you all looking at?" Damon sighed as he surveyed the room. "The movie is still on."
Reluctantly, they turned back to the television and Damon picked up his tray, sighing as he began to eat his leftovers.
Olivia sat back against the armrest with her legs stretched out across the couch; Damon sitting on the other end. She sighed as she began eating her food, glancing at the other people in the room, each appearing to be sharing part in a secret she was unaware of.
After a while, only half way through the movie, Olivia finished her food and sat her tray down on the table causing a butler to instantly come and remove it. Tiring of her position on the couch, she turned on her side and laid her head on a pillow, stretching across the couch, careful not to disturb Damon.
Moments later, Olivia felt Damon's hand gently rub her back as he slid his body behind hers, wrapping his arm around her to keep her from falling off of the couch as he brought the blanket back over their bodies. His actions were swift, yet slow; he caressed her body and gently nuzzled his head against hers, showing intimacy he desired.
"How was-?" Damon started quietly only for her to interrupted by Olivia.
"Why did you all flip out about the beach." She blurted.
"It's nothing."
"You're lying; I just wanna know the truth."
"You trust me right?"
"I do, I just feel like I'm missing something important."
"You're not; it's just that it's one of those things I just don't like to talk about." He sighed as he began stroking her sides. "I'll tell you about it later."
"Alright Damon, if you say so." She sighed as well, slowly sliding her body back against his, feeling her body lean a little too far over the edge of the couch.
"I won't let you fall." He said quietly as he kissed the back of her neck then turned his attention back to the television.
Olivia sighed turned her attention back to the movie as well, but she couldn't seem to focus. Her mind kept going back to the conversation about the beach and everyone's strange response.
"He's hiding something; I just wish I knew what was so important about the damn beach." She sighed as she shifted in his arms. "He said it's nothing, but whatever it is, it's bad enough for him to not want to tell me about it... Maybe I can get Demona to tell me more? I'll ask her about it tomorrow." She thought as she yawned, her eyes slowly fluttering shut as she repositioned herself in Damon's arms, the sounds of the movie flooding her ears as she drifted off to sleep.
