As the Earth Moves
It is a very busy day at the Newman supermarket in the city of Racine, Wisconsin a well distinguished metropolis. Anxious shoppers are flooding the checkout lanes preparing for a massive storm.
Customer 1: "Will you hurry up and get me out of here; I want to get home before it gets blown away!"
Monica Varno: (Glares at customer while wiping off the spittle from her cheek) "You will be out if here if you just swipe your damn credit card!"
Customer 1: "Don't you dare use that tone with me! I will have you fired!"
Monica Varno: "Just swipe the card, bitch!"
Ominous music begins to play through the speaker system.
Mary McBigboobs: "Oh, they're playing Celine Dion, I love her!" (Starts dancing)
Monica Varno: Aside "I so need to get back to Massachusetts." (Turns to Bea Ytch) "Hey Bea, can I go home now?"
Bea Yetch: "No, you need to do you're job, you didn't come here to get paid now work!"
Customer 1: "Will you focus you little twit!"
Monica Varno: Pulls a salmon from under the cash register and slaps the annoying customer "You need to get moving."
Customer 1: Turns to Derrick Crabbot "Did you see what she did! I want justice!"
Derrick Crabbot: "Actually that is tolerated here; the line gets drawn at fruit throwing."
Customer 1: "This is absolutely unacceptable; I'm going to take my business over to Chancellor Mart!"
Derrick Crabbot: "Well, over there they throw pies."
The customer, along with several other shoppers head for the automatic sliding door, when they get there however a power surge hits freezing the doors shut.
Customer 1: "Oh no! This can't be happening to me!"
Customer 2: "My baby is outside, hold on little Timmy!"
Little Timmy: "Mommy!" Stops and thinks about the situation. "I'm free!" Runs off with two pink and green squirrels
Customer 2: (Screams) "Timmy!"
Customer 3: "How will we get out of here, will somebody help us?"
Shoppers panic as they keep backing up and walking towards the automatic door, hordes of people move together in hopes that they will be welcomed to the parking lot.
Customer 4: (Cries) "There's no hope for us, we're trapped here!" Takes a step back and walks towards the door "No hope!"
Bea Yetch: "Now ladies and gentlemen please stay calm, we will find ways to get the doors open! Do not worry!"
All Customers: "Hurry!"
Customer 3: "We're going to die in here, we're going to starve!"
Monica Varno: In disbelief "You have got to be kidding me." Takes advantage of the situation and exits out the side door and leaves.
Customer 2: Wiping tears off her face "My Little Timmy is gone forever, my precious little boy!"
Little Timmy: Across the street at the playground "I'm over here Mom!"
Customer 2: "I can still here his little voice!"
Derrick Crabbot: "I will go find help, everyone stay calm!"
Derrick flips through a phonebook looking for a specific name. The customers continue to try to approach the door, becoming more exhausted and frantic about the situation, some begin crawling back and forth.
