I want to be like Ivy,
The plant not the girl…
To take root in the harshest conditions and situations
And flourish,
Shade tolerant in a time when things are a bit to dark.
Hard to eradicate,
like a memory.
I want to be like Ivy,
The plant not the girl…
Almost overwhelming in its presence,
But yet appreciated for it is beauty and nature.
Cultivated, and tended for,
A deciduous creeper plant of the heart; a lovestone.
I want to be like Ivy,
The plant not the girl…
Mostly ornamental,
But making things simple, adding value
Building character.
I want to be like Ivy,
The plant not the girl…
Living within a wall that is impenetrable and will not be damaged,
But unlike ivy not likely to cause more damage than the ivy itself if its forcefully removed.
Just leave behind a thin webbed veil of where my roots existed.
I want to be like Ivy,
The plant not the girl…
The girl just seemed…
Poisonous .
