Ch. 1

Two cloaked figures roamed around the streets, their red eyes scanning everything that they see.

"Are you sure its near here?" Askes the first one.

"Of course I'm sure!" The second one snapped. "The Fallen is in this city somewhere!"

"Alright," The first one said. "For your sake it'd better be here..."

A siren blared as lights lit up the street. A police car drove up to the figures, with the officer stepping out. "What're you two doing out here this late?" he asked.

"We're looking for a place to stay," The first answers quickly. The second one looks at the police officer hungrily.

"Well, if you're looking for a hotel, there's one a few blocks east of here," The officer said.

"We're also hungry..." The second adds, stepping towards the police officer.

"Well, there's also a resteraunt by the hotel," The officer says.

"Could you write down the directions to the place for us? We're not good at remembering," The second says, walking closer to the police officer.

"Sure, just let me get some paper and a pen," The officer replies, looking in his car for those items.

May I eat? The second askes the first through its mind.

Yes, just save me a little.

The officer turns back around. "How about I just escort you two to the places?" he asked.

"No thanks..." The second says. "I think I just found a meal..." It removes its hood, revealing a pale skinned face, long black hair, red eyes and long fangs from its mouth. "And that meal is you!" In a split second, the vampire grabs the mans throat, snapping it, and killing him instantly. "Meal time..." it says, biting into the man's throat, starting to drink its blood.

"Save the rest for me," the other says, pulling down its hood, revealing a man that had red eyes, short brown hair, and large canines grinning evily.

The vampire finishes. "Of course," it says, tossing the body to the other person.

"Its been a while since I've been full," The first says, howling before changing into a werewolf form.

"Eat up," the vampire laughs.

(The following morning)

"Takeshi...Takeshi wake up this instant!" His mom banged upon his bedroom door.

Takeshi groaned, opening his green eyes before sitting up with his shaggy brown hair askew. "What?" he asked.

"You're gonna be late to school!" his mom said.

Takeshi sighed. "Yeah...my first day ofschool...don't wanna miss that," he said sarcastically. He stood and grabbed a red shirt and some jeans to put on. He walked out of his room a few minutes later, with his school bag slung on his back. He yawned as he walked to their apartment kitchen.

"Good to see your up," His mom smiled.

"Yeah, yeah," Takeshi said. He quickly scarfed down some breakfast before heading to the door.

"Say hi to Aubri for me!" His mom called.

"Can do," he said, closing the door behind him.

Once he had gone, his mom sighed. "He's almost sixteen, which means he'll need to know sooner or later." She touched a necklace his dad had given her. "Too bad you had to go before you could've told him yourself..."She watched the news for a minute, before a newsflash was brought on screen.

"Our top story, a policeman is MIA in our city. Late last night, somehow he was taken from his vehicle, with the perpertrators only leaving behind his slashed up police uniform, along with a few chewed bones." the anchorman said. The screen switched to the scene, showing the bones with bite marks on them, as well as the slashed up uniform that also had some blood on it. "The police are asking for any information that may lead to the perpertrator's arrest. Just call 239-1..."

"Oh, no..." She gasped, seeing the chewed bones. "Takeshi needs to know more than ever now..."

...

Takeshi continued walking to school, as his friend Aubri came up to him. "Hey Tak!" she said, smiling, her blue eyes shining with her blonde hair.

"Hey Aubri," Takeshi said.

"Anything new happening?" She asked.

"Nothing really, same old, same old," he sighed.

"Why, you want something exciting to happen?"

"It'd be better than stuff going on right now."

"So true." Aubri agreed. "Oh yeah, I was on the computer yesterday and on some sites people are starting to report seeing angels and demons a lot."

"Its just a much of crap," Takeshi said.

"How so?"

"They just want attention, so they just lie about seeing those kinds of things just to attract attention," Takeshi explained.

"You sure?"

"Positive."

"Well I believe them," Aubri said, looking up at the sky. "Who knows, maybe there's even some Angels living among us."

"And I'm a monkey's father," Takeshi chuckled.

Aubri glared in mock anger at him. "We'd better get to school," she said, going back to her usually happy state. "C'mon!" she said, starting to run towards the school.

"So that's what you wanna do huh?" Takeshi asked, running up next to her as they raced to the school.

They reached the school with a few minutes to spare, but luckily it wasn't too far from where they lived.

"I wonder where Ian's at," Aubri said as they walked into the school.

"Probably right here," Ian said, walking up to them, his black hair spiked and brown eyes looking calm.

"Hey," Takeshi said. "Long time no see."

"yeah," Ian agreed.

"Yep!" Aubri said happily before the bell rang. "C'mon, let's get to class," she said, walking towards their room.

"How does she stay so happy all the time?" Takeshi asked Ian as they followed her.

"Who knows," Ian shrugged.

Hi people! This is my first story for FictionPress, but I have written other stories for another website though. It'll get better as it goes on, when explanations start to come in and such. If anyone wants to make a character for this, just send a message with your character profile for this. Thanks again for reading, and if you liked it, post a review!
