The Turning of a Day

The Turning of a Day

the waves are lapping,
a sandy shore.
The sun is setting,
as shown in lore.

Majestic; once wild,
now calmly going down.
Underneath the ocean,
where it will drown.

And then night comes,
and the moon gives light.
A gentle breeze billows,
in the stars gazing sight.

But as dawn nears,
and the picnic baskets are packed.
The sun and sea
make a binding pact.

So then; the ocean,
spits up the sun.
And to the beach; once more,
to have some fun.
