Television, my brain recited, over and over. My ears where on it, but my chameleon eyes weren't. I thought they were, but I could see my painting of Minnie pretty clearly, so that gave me a hint that I wasn't really watching "George Lopez". Minnie was a neighbor of mine. She was the kind of girl you knew would be happy for the rest of her life. Blonde haired blue eyed inspiration, she was. Well, I kind of knew that she was in for some trouble. I mean, if you were God, you wouldn't let some pretty little girl run around all happy and shit, right? Her father and mother killed her. They said that she was too damn beautiful. Apparently, they believed her beauty meant that their pristine little angel was going to grow up to be a whore, doing the nasty with wasted truckers 20 years older than her on a bus. I thought that wasn't an excuse to squash her open with a fucking axe. But parents know best, I guess.
Doorbell, my brain said. It was ringing. Probably Adam, I guessed. Not many people want to visit the creepy lady that talks to the deceased. Their loss.
"Hey," Adam smiled as I opened the door for him. His green eyes were smiling too.
"Did you ditch Olivia back at the bar?" I asked. No, really, I feel touched. He would leave some willing hottie at a bar to hang out with his nearly insane friend? I should be so lucky.
He laughed. "Nah, she said she had to go meet up with her boyfriend. So I decided to come over here." he smiled mysteriosly. By now, I'm getting sick of all this smiling, and then I realize that he said something about Olivia having a boyfriend.
"Olivia was just a friend back in middle school. Besides, I already have someone." he said.
"Okay, Drama Queen. Step on in." I said, pushing the door open further, letting him in.
A/U: this is what I had... not going to be finished. Feel it doesn't have potential. If anyone wants to know, Adam was supposed to make out with Jen and out of nowhere, he has a heart attack. It was caused by Minnie. Basically the rest of the story is about all the ghosts Jen has talked to, and others start to torment her, begging for her eternal company. whatever.
