Dreaming in the Darkness
Breathing flames,
You spit my name.
In the mist
A dark soul hissed
"Forget your name,
Forget your face,
But your soul
You can't erase.
Empty but so full,
You can't ignore the dreadful pull.
Lay down and die.
Ask no questions .
Don't wonder why."
In the end
Don't we all fall?
Games like this
Turn hearts to mist
Pretend to be who you're not,
Be confident in what you forgot.
"Forget your name,
Forget your face,
But your soul
You can't erase.
Empty but so, so full,
You can't ignore the dreadful pull.
Lay down and die.
In the dark
You cannot hide."
Should I fall?
Should I fail?
Should I live to tell this tale?
Or into the dark shall I go,
Willing to forget all I know?
Should I trust something so wrong?
Is this nothingness
Where I belong?
Okay. Be nice. This is my first post on here. Tell me if you like it, hate it. All of my poetry is really dark, so if you were disturbed by this, or you didn't find this to your liking, I wouldn't reccomend reading my other poems I'll post. I will be posting sories on here though. They won't be as dark. Please review! :)
