Mission Complete

Michelle's POV

"Danny!" I squealed. "We did it!" I jumped up and embraced him.

"What?" he asked with a confused face.

"Devon and Sophie are finally going out!" I smiled. "Our plan worked!"

"Really?" he said with his face turning bright and happy.

"Yeah!"

"Nice." he embraced me again.

"Our plan worked." I smiled.

"Finally…" Danny sighed. "Hey, wanna drop by to get some candy?"

"Sure." I smiled and we walked off from campus.

Danny and I both went to College Park. We had always been best friends ever since we were born. Throughout our school years, we helped everybody hook up with their dream people. We were somehow naturally good and successful at it. We had just paired up our best friends Devon and Sophie together. They had liked each other for who knows how long, but they were finally together.

Danny was 19 with dirty blonde locks and deep-sea blue eyes. He was tall, tan, and built. People mistook him for a Calvin Klein model. His personality was just as good as his looks. He was nice, fun, caring, and understanding. He was someone special to me… I had known him all my life.

I was 18 and had long brownie-colored hair with normal brown eyes. I was average with height, and I wasn't built, but I was in shape. I had been offered modeling cards, but didn't accept them. According to Danny, I was cute, funny, caring, understanding, and generous…. but whatever.

"Miki…" Danny called me by my nickname, "What do you want?" he pointed to the bins of candy.

"Mm…" I thought. "Sour gummy worms and Swedish fish." I smiled up at him.

"Alright." he purchased his favorites and mine and handed them to me.

"Thanks, Dan."

"No prob." he smiled.

Danny and I weren't dating, but everybody thought we should… who knows why…

"Sophie?" I looked forward.

"Michelle!" she unhooked her arm from her boyfriend's and ran towards me.

"Hey!"

"What're you two doing here?" Sophie asked as she looked at Danny.

"Getting candy." I held up my bag.

"Oh…"

"What about you and Dev?"

"Uh…" she started to blush.

"Out on a walk." Devon came in. "What's up, man?" he stuck out his hand towards Danny.

"Hey." Danny gave him one of those manly-guy hugs and patted him on the back.

"Sounds more like a date than a walk…" I muttered.

"Say something, Michelle?" Devon glared teasingly.

"Nope. Nothing." I smiled casually. "Hey, Danny."

"Yeah?" he looked at me.

"Could you give me a ride to my dorm?"

"Yeah, sure." he shrugged with a smile.

"I don't understand you two." Devon shook his head.

"What?" Danny and I said in unison.

"I mean… you two hook up almost everybody else on campus and in high school, but you two don't know that you guys are perfect for each other." Devon continued.

"I can't believe you guys don't' see it…" Sophie finished.

"Danny and I are like brother and sister." I insisted.

"Don't say that!" Sophie hushed.

"Why not?" I said loudly.

"Because, what if Danny does have feelings for you somewhere deep down inside?"

I started cracking up laughing… "Don't worry about that."

"Michelle…" Sophie glared at me.

"Okay, okay. Sorry." I freaked. Before I could say anything else, Danny called.

"Coming, Miki?"

"Yeah, Dan. I'll be there in a sec." I motioned.

"You guys even made each other nick-names." Devon stated.

"Shut up." I glared at them both. "Instead of trying to create love between Danny and me, how about you start heating up your relationship?" I shot back with a smile.

"Michelle, I think your boyfriend's waiting for you." Sophie said in a teasing manner, but with a red hot face.

"Leaving." I walked over to Danny's red motorcycle.

"Catch." Danny threw me a helmet.

"Thanks." I hopped on and grabbed around his waist.

"Ready?"

"Mnm!" I smiled and we zoomed off.
