I wake up in the hospital.

I hate this place.

White walls, white floors, white ceiling. Nothing good comes from being in a hospital. The first time I was in a hospital my mom died, the second was when I got dehydrated in the third grade and the third was when my dad died. Now all I can think about is how I killed Mr. Briggs. Delsin helped me get over my parents death and a few days ago I knew that it wasn't my fault but now things are different. Maybe Mr. Briggs did deserve to die but I didn't have the right to take his life from him.

"Avery!" I glace up as Delsin rushes in. "I'm sorry I left you I just went to the coffee machine."

"What." I'm confused. I didn't make up with Delsin yet.

"Oh, yeah you're probably confused, but you remember what happened right?" he says.

"Yeah, I killed another person." I guess I should know by now that that isn't something you say to Delsin.

"Avery, we already discussed this. You know your parents deaths weren't your fault. Just because it isn't natural doesn't mean you're to blame. And as for Mr. Briggs, that was all in self defense and you know it." I can't help but smile. Delsin always says the right thing.

"Why are you being so nice? I broke up with you." I say. He looks at me guiltily.

"Tak needs to learn to keep his mouth shut." I say. He smiles and then it fades.

"I know you only did it to protect me but did you mean anything that you said?" he asks.

"No! Wait! Yes! But only the part about us getting married. That was the truth." He smiles.

"Really?"

"Yes really." I get that tingly feeling and start to feel all warm.

"I love you." I say.

"I love you too."

In some stories you read there is this thing called an epilogue but my story doesn't need one because I can give you it right now.

In two years Tak and Cleo are still dating at the time of my wedding but they have asked me to not tell them of the future of their relationship which is something I can understand.

Tommy met a girl at college and is now engaged. He forgave me a long time ago and we have been friends since.

Delsin and I both stay on the reservation after high school and together we open a shop on Main Street. After a year we do what we both knew would happen and got married. Just as in my first vision all of my friends and family are there and I wear a beautiful dress.

I know I was given my power for a reason and for the rest of my life I'm going to do my part to help everyone around me without wearing myself out. Yes, things will get hard but with Delsin at my side everything seems easier.

Thank you to everyone who read and reviewed this story! I can't tell you how much I appreciate every review that I got. To be honest, I didn't think this story would turn out, but reading over it I realize that I really like it so I hope you did too.
