Chapter 1: Prologue

There is one fear in my universe that is stronger than any other; a tragedy that may strike at any moment, any second, anywhere in the world. Everyone, in spite of race, gender, or creed, is sympathetic to even their worst enemies when this curse befalls them. That is because most people know how it feels to have genuine affection, and how horrible it is to have it taken away. There is an affliction in my world, where any chance of true love is snuffed out in an instant, cruelly snatched away without a hope of replacing it.

The disease is referred to as "finding a Soul Mate."
