...People watched us and laughed. The embarrassment had already spread to my neck and I fought to prevent the coloring from rising into my face. I didn't need to humiliate myself even more. James was doing enough for the both of us to be scarred for the rest of our high school career. I knew he didn't mind—he was certainly the type of person who liked attention—but I did.
Eventually, I was able to escape the scene and scurry to my next class. Hopefully this whole scene would be forgotten by the end of the day and I would be able to dismiss it too. Hopefully, my dad wouldn't find out about it. I didn't need any more people laughing, especially someone who lived with me…And, I was positive he would laugh. He was just cynical and mean like that. I certainly didn't fall far from the tree, but I would never laugh at someone's misfortune. I was certainly not a sadist...
Author's note: I've grown up. It's as simple as that. I've grown out of this stage in my life and I'm ready to move on. I don't want to go back to this. This was a growing expirence for me, but I just can't go on with it. It's been almost three years and I'm done. I'm sorry. There is not a good chance of it coming back, but if it does, though, be sure that it'll be better than ever.
Thank you to everyone who stuck with me. I really love all of you. :)
This doesn't mean I've given up writing-I'm actually writing a new story-I'm just done with Pretty Strung Out For a Girl.
I'm really truly sorry.
