A/N: To all the nice people who reviewed, THANK YOU! You make me feel good. Therefore, I'm giving you two chapters today. I have to type quickly, though, or I will be shoved into bed. People seeing this must think I'm InSaNe, but I did already have this typed. Anyway, thanks again to the people who took the time to compliment my story. You're awesome!

A/N2: This starts where the first chapter in Kiernan's POV ends.

Lord Death, Lady Light

Kiernan reached his dark energy around Evelyn's soul and grabbed it. Suddenly the normal-looking light flared brighter than the sun, burning his essence. He withdrew himself qucikly as her head snapped up to look at him.

She can't see me, Kiernan thought stubbornly. Ignore the fact that she shouldn't have been able to feel you, much less retaliate. SHE'S ONLY HUMAN!

Her normally hazel eyes flashed and turned blue.

She's human . . . He repeated to himself, without much conviction.

He finally gave up all pretenses of humanity when she yelled at him "What was that?!"

He didn't have enough time to collect his thoughts and answer herbefore a screech rent the air. She looked at it, then jumped. Unlike in his vision, he did see her jump: but also stay in place.

Her body crumpled, its brown eyes restored. He wasn't looking at it though. His attention was riveted on a girl with gold hair, pale skin, and light blue eyes, who was landing on the car after her jump from the other girl's body. She looked at her body in confusion, then sighed in annoyance. She looked at him one last time, then jumped into the air and disappeared.

His father appeared and walked over to the dead body.

"You've got the soul, right boy?" Lord Death asked gruffly.

"No," Kiernan whispered, horrified. "She's gone."

"Impossible," His father said, annoyed. "Only you could protect her from death. She can't just leave; she's bound to her body until I free her."

"She's gone," Kiernan repeated, louder. "She just jumped out of her body and landed on the car that had almost killed her. Then she looked back at her body, annoyed, and then jumped in the air and disappeared, Almost like . . ." He looked down, embarrased.

"Like what?" His father said, sounding worried.

"Well . . . Like I do in a dimension jump. But it isn't possible, right? I am the only child of a god and mortal." He said it as a statement. Of course it was true. His father would have introduced him to someone that could be a trued friend, right?

"Well . . ." his father said. It was not an encouraging response. "Can we talk about this at home?" He said, delaying. "Please."

"Fine," Kiernan said, sighing. "But I really need an explanation."

A/N: So, that's the next chapter. I'll get the next one up ASAP, but not now. I've really got to go. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did writing it! Please take the time to give me comments. It really helps my writing :)
