Authors Note: a Christmas present to Foxy!

The sky was pitch black, with silver dots scattered along and a large silver white button hovering among the dots. Moon and stars...cold yet beautiful she thought to herself as she followed her friend, the snow crunching beneath her booted feet. She shivered as a blast of icy wind hit her.

"Can we go back?" she asked. "It's freezing and I'm dying for a hot chocolate"

"Shh!" her friend hissed as he crouched down behind a snow covered bush. "Be patient Gen, you won't believe this until you see it"

She sighed heavily and crouched down beside her friend, gripping onto his arm so she wouldn't land on her behind like she's prone to. The seconds ticked away into minutes, her breath was forming white puffs before her and she felt so cold that she couldn't even feel her fingers and toes let alone hands and feet.

"Please John, let's go" she pleaded. "I'm turning into an icicle here"

"Shh! Look" John hissed pointing out to the far distance.

Gen squinted her eyes to see several deformed shapes lolloping away from a larger shape, the smaller ones ran closer to her and her eyes widened when she realised...her mouth dropped open and she tightened her grip on John's arm as she watched them run round.

Babies, they were babies, but not any babies, fox babies, snow covered, icy white foxes. With dark eyes that looked like melted pools of dark chocolate and little pink tongues that came out to lick their noses.

"They're gorgeous" she breathed.

"Merry Christmas Gen" John whispered back.
