AN: Alrighty, this here is a teaser for a sort of sequel/continuation from Hide & Seek... Although Alex's story is over, I felt that Speed was such an amazing person with so many layers that he deserved his own story... This will actually be a supernatural thriller so it will be different from Hide & Seek in many ways, but don't worry Adam and Alex will still be in this story... More Adam than Alex but still! I wont be writing more of it for a while due to the fact that I am currently editing/adding/changing stuff in H&S...
"Josh?" The voice was faint but persistent. "Josh? Speed?"
"What?" He asked, groggy. Speed opened one eye slowly to see who had been shaking him into consciousness. The girl in front of him was gorgeous. Her brown hair, the rich chocolate color, flowed halfway down her back, and her green eyes seemed to sparkle. She couldn't have been more than seventeen and she wore a half smile. The girl had her hand resting on Speed's.
He yanked his hand back quickly as if being burned, never letting his eyes leave the girl. Out of all the things he had seen and experienced in his life, this particular moment scared him the most.
"Speed, you're awake!" Alexandria Wilson was standing in the doorway, completely oblivious to the other girl in the room.
"Alex, you're alive!" He tried to sit up, but an explosion of pain in his head caused him to fall back against the pillows.
Alex rushed to his bedside, worried. "Don't move around too much. You were shoved down a set of basement stairs for crying out loud."
Speed looked at the girl in the corner, he wanted to tell Alex about the visitor, but the girl shook her head quickly as if she head read his thoughts. He returned his gaze to Alex. "I thought you were going to die, babe."
"Me? No, I'm okay. It's you that had us all worried." She held his hand, and Speed felt the warmth of her hand spread up his arm.
"How long have I been out?"
"Almost two weeks now." Alex shook her head sadly. "I was so scared for you. Speed, if anything had happened to you I don't know-"
"It's fine, Alex," he said cutting her off. "I am fine. Sort of."
"What's wrong?" She stood up.
"Okay, sit tight. I am going to go find a doctor and see if they can give you some type of medication for your head." She rushed out of the room, never mentioning the girl in the corner that had watched her with a great amount of interest.
"You stay away from me." Speed pointed his finger at her.
"Josh, I just want to talk." She held up her hands as a show of peace.
She looked dejected. "Why not?"
"Because," he practically shouted, "you're dead!"
