The wind whipped his hair around, as he ducked down to hide his face. The rainy weather had been going on for months, and there was no sign of it stopping. This wasn't a concern for him.

He nipped down the side alley-way. A dead end.
He quickly jumped up the small building to his right and stared at the park across. He considered leaping over it but thought it a waste of time and energy. And besides, the rain was irritating him.

He leapt down and walked calmly to the streetlight. After a minute, he pressed his right hand to the symbol engraved in the metal. A hatch at his feet appeared and he stooped down and hopped into the darkness.

Virgil's senses flared and his instincts went on hyper drive. The darkness of the catacombs were no problem to his extraordinary eyesight. He quickly wiped his hair away from his face. He was poised and ready.

Virgil aimed at his left side. No one.
He closed his eyes and breathed through his nose.

. . .

He opened his eyes and aimed on his left - again.

"Hmm, you are much better than the others."
A feline figure emerged from the shadows, clapping lightly. Her smile was wide, showing her perfect but slightly pointed teeth. It didn't touch her eyes.
She wore black and violet long ripped clothing. Her complexion was pale and her hair was long, down to her kknees almost, and black, layered, giving her a slightly more dangerous look. Her eyes were a bright blue. Why?

"Cat got your tongue?" Her smiled turned icier. She stepped forward lithely.
"No response? Huh, that must be a new rule or something for you Hunters, is it?" Her smile turned into a sneer. Her white lips pulled back and she emitted a low growl.

It was answered.

Virgil glanced up. There was definitely something or someone else there other than them.
Quick as a flash, she appeared before him. Her hand jerked up and closed around his throat.
"Uhhkkhk"
"What did you do? Who did you contact?" She hissed at him.
"Leh goh!"
"Tell me"

Ghkkrh.

"A werewolf! Achk. You contacted a werewolf! How low is that?" She screamed in a shrill voice, laughing hysterically. She had let go of him.
"Shut up. Shut up now!" She was taken aback by his tone. It wasn't authoritative like the others, it was controlled and annoyed. She continued to laugh, however.
"Didn't I tell you to shut it?!" Virgil clamped his hand over her mouth to shush her. Her eyes were wide with amazement. She spluttered and tried to break his grip.

Thump.

The werewolf landed in front of them and sneered.

"My, my. Look at what we have here. A seductress and the Lord."

Alexandra looked coldly at him and the werewolf stared back, smiling menacingly.

"I'm sorry to interrupt whatever you were doing," He said, looking like he barged in on something very important.

If Alexandra could blush, she would have but Virgil seemed unperturbed, amused even.

Their heads snapped up as they heard another growl from above.

"What's your lot doing up there?" Alexandra took a step forward. Christopher, the werewolf, ventured forward too, snapping his teeth at her.

"It's none of your business, well, at least not yours." He looked at Virgil as he spoke. The Demon Lord grimaced.
Alexandra looked at the two and glared daggers at them.

"Well, I'd best be going then" She uttered and walked towards -
"Not so fast. You were with him. Well, it may turn out to be your business after all." He grabbed her hand fast. Instinctively, she gripped his forearm with her free hand and sunk her nails into it, threateningly pulling it close to her mouth.

"Why you lee-" He screamed in rage but his grip had loosened. Alexandra took her chance and dashed down the passageway. Before she could turn to another tunnel, a hand grabbed her around the waist and pulled her close.

She couldn't, didn't, breathe. Her hand unconsciously massaged her arm where Christopher had taken hold of her.

"I'm sorry."

The voice surprised her. She faced him again and pushed herself off his bare chest. He wasn't wearing a shirt or anything, only a traveling cloak over his shoulders, fastened at the front.

Alexandra stared at Virgil and her face crumpled into a frown. It then changed into anger.

"You! What the hell -?"
Déjà vu. His hand was, once more, pressed against her mouth.

"How many times must I tell you to shut up!"

"I'f bife oo." He quickly let go but kept his hand on her waist. She tried to wriggle away but he just pulled her closer.

"Let go!" Alexandra whispered.

"Just stop moving and maybe we could get out of here alive," He replied, keeping his eyes on the light in another tunnel.

"Ha, haven't you noticed that I am a vampire and you're a ... a demon!" She remembered this part and tried to struggle again.

His hand stayed firmly on her waist.

"Anyways, why would you care?" She stared up at him, searching his eyes. They turned black and he leaned down.
"Because, it'll be my fault if they get to you," He whispered in her ear, making her shudder.
"I thought you were one of them." She didn't look into those cold black eyes, she addressed his chest.
"I was."
"Oh."

"Where is he?" A voice rang through the passageway.

Virgil dragged Alexandra back and the sunk into the shadows.
"Who is that?" She barely moved her lips.
"My brother."
