A group of short fics, based on sweet quotes that I found. They are about the same high school, and this is some of the stuff that happens to the students. The stories are based on the quote directly after it! On with the show!

Cissy tapped her pencil against the desk repeatedly. Bopping her foot, she tried her hardest to concentrate on Mr Graham who was droning on about something mind numbingly boring. Quantum physics or something, Cissy wasn't sure.

She took a deep breath and told herself to stop thinking about it. Stop thinking about him…

It wasn't happening.

He stood to write the answer to a question on the board.

Cissy immediately averted her amethyst eyes, and began doodling on her math book, breathing unsteadily.

Damn it Cissy! Control your hormones!

"Miss Fletcher? Perhaps you could help Mr Keenan with his equation?" Cissy frowned and rose from her chair, going to the board, keeping her strawberry blonde head down the entire time.

"I won't bite," Sean murmured quietly.

Cissy saw his nerdy haircut and tidy appearance in her minds eye. He was so handsome, regardless of the fact he was dork.

He's not a dork, Cissy.

She shook her head trying to rid it of thoughts and pictures of Sean Keenan. Looking up, she saw his large brown eyes, hidden behind his glasses. Taking a deep breath, she swallowed.

"Hey Sean."

If you can't get someone out of your head, maybe they're supposed to be in there.

"Tom!" Violetta yelled. Tom strode away from her as quickly as he had approached her.

It was lie that she's slept with David Jones. A dirty lie that only Cissy Fletcher could think up and spread. Tom actually believed her.

"Tom, will you please just listen to me? Cissy was lying! She always lies!" Violetta insisted. Tom stopped his strong strides and turned to her.

"How do I know that Vi?" he questioned loudly. Violetta threw her arms up in the air in turmoil.

"You're supposed to love me enough to know that!" she ran to him, eyes full of despair.

Tom frowned, shaking his head and looking defeated, not like his usual self.

"It all started out when we were chemistry partners… it's gonna end as English partners, isn't it Vi?" Tom's voice was soft.

Violetta shook her head.

"Please, Tom, this is stupid! You know she's lying!"

"Do I?" Tome shook his head now, as if to firmly tell her he wasn't stupid. As he walked away from her, Vi let one tear fall. Just one. She left that spot and didn't pull herself from bed for a very long time.

The two most common elements in the world are hydrogen and stupidity.

Owen smiled.

Pippa made her way cautiously towards him.

"Hey," she spoke quietly, and Owen had to strain to hear.

"Hey, Pip. How's it going? How's Violetta?" Owen leant against the lockers.

"She's getting better," Pippa murmured. Owen nodded, and looked around the corridors, nodding at people as they went.

Pippa smiled.

"What?" Owen asked curiously.

Pippa giggled.

"It seems you know everyone!" she exclaimed, her voice still quiet. Owen grinned.

"That's cause I do."

Seizing his chance to capture Pippa at her happiest, Owen leant down and pressed a kiss to her rosy lips. Pippa was momentarily surprised, but responded chastely. Owen broke away and grinned.

"What was that for?" Pippa looked bewildered, but pleased at the same time as a rosy flush spread across her cheeks. Owen shrugged.

"You're too special just to let you walk away."

Smile - it's the second best thing you can do with your lips.

Carmen's tear fell onto the picture of Danny. He was smiling happily, arm around her, on her 18th birthday.

That was the day before he'd told her he was leaving.

He was running away to fight in the war, regardless of the fact he was just a young man and had a whole life ahead of him.

"I love you Danny," she whispered.

It was so unfair that Pippa and Owen could be happy, and she had to go through all of this with Danny.

"I know you love me too," she told herself, as another tear hit the photograph. In the dimming light of her flickering bedside lamp, her ebony hair shone.

Carmen rolled back onto her back, thinking of Danny the whole time she lay in darkness, pictured his face and fell asleep dreaming of him.

He did love her.

Somewhere there's someone who dreams of your smile,
And finds in your presence that life is worthwhile,
So when you are lonely remember it's true,
Somebody somewhere is thinking of you.
