Short, silly, not a sample of my better writing. I do not own converse. Please R&R!

The young teenage couple walked, pinkies linked, to the little wooden bridge in the middle of the woods. It was their favorite spot to talk or just be alone together. They stopped at the center of the small bridge and the girl, whose hair was the color of starlight and whose eyes sparkled like mint green jewels, took both of the boys' hands.

"John," she began, glancing down at her model-esque figure clad in dark blue jeans and red converse high tops. "We've been going out for a long time and I have something important to tell you."

"What is it babe? You know you can tell me anything." Said the dark haired boy, piercing blue eyes gazing into hers

"Well, the truth is," She paused, looking embarrassed; "I'm sort of a vampire." She bit her lip and looked up at him, eyes pleading him to understand.

"What?!" The boy demanded, not sure if he'd heard properly. "Is this-is this some kind of joke?" He stuttered, noplussed. The girl sighed in something like annoyance, but not quite, and shook out her long, straight flaxen hair which shone almost silver in the moonlight.

"I know, I dropped a bomb, I'm sorry. Would this have gone better if I had used a Transylvanian accent?" She looked and sounded so utterly sincere that the poor boy had to believe her. After all, there always was something strange about his girlfriend…

"But how?" He asked, "Your parents-"

"Are human" She finished for him. "However, they both carried the gene for vampirism, so I have it. Weird huh?" Her boyfriend was staring at her, mouth agape, so she pressed on. "My whole family tree's pretty whacked up, actually. "My Uncle Mann can turn into a wolf, and my cousin Caula Drin is a witch. Ooh! And did I mention that grandpa Frank is the Creature from the Black Lagoon? I know, the name's a bit misleading, but- hey? John? Are you okay? You're not looking to good." She finished, concerned. John's face was white as a sheet as he answered dazedly,

"I wish I'd stayed awake when we studied heredity that day in biology… "
