A/N: Well, this only took an entire year to post though it's been written for quite some time. I know that it is immensely short, and that most of you probably wanted more, but I just couldn't see writing much more. It is time for this story to finally come to and end, and hopefully none of you will be disappointed in it.
I am soooo sorry it took so long and I hope you enjoy it, sometime in the future I may add an epilogue, but this is the last chapter for now.
Surreal. That's how she felt. She almost felt like the mirror was lying to her. She almost felt like this was a dream. She look too beautiful, too wonderful, too happy, and though she knew it was an irrational fear she couldn't help it, she was so scared that she was going to wake up and it would all be a dream, she and Jack had never made up, David hadn't bought her that plane ticket that practically saved her life, she would still be in that terrible almost unendurable pain, hiding it away so no one would worry, she would still be living a lie, and she would always be living a lie. But she knew it wasn't. She knew that this was real. Her long white dress hung perfectly on her hourglass shaped body. Her shiny, long brown hair was done in flowing curls and her bright blue eyes shone brightly with happiness. This was the day she had dreamed about since she was a child, and it was to the man she could never love more.
"You look beautiful." She turned to face her mom and smiled, "Thanks."
"I can't believe my baby is getting married." Her mom clasped her hands together and held them in front of her mouth while tears of joy filled her eyes. She couldn't believe where her daughter was today, where she was today even. After Lindsey's sister had died, her mother lost control of herself, there was no point in living, until that day when she woke up, when Kevin took Lindsey and Andy away. She saw how horrible she had become, what a terrible person had occupied the body of a once loving mother. She had neglected her only daughter left and forgot about her young toddler. That feeling of guilt that came with this recognition, she thought would never go away. But as Cheryl looked at her daughter in that dress all she felt was love.
Lindsey's heart raced, she was marrying Jack. She'd waited so long for this, so long. And now that the day was here, finally. She could hear the people waiting for the ceremony to start down the hall, her brides maids were out there helping guests and doing other things, she could imagine Angel stealing food off the caterers plates trying not to get caught, the thought made her laugh.
"I'd best go get your dad, they're starting soon." Lindsey's mom left the room, and Lindsey took another look in the mirror. This was so much more than she imagined already.
The door opened again and her dad, dressed in a tux smiled at her. "You look absolutely stunning." He said.
Lindsey smiled, "Thank you daddy."
They left the room then. The wedding was at a small church and everything was white except for her red flowers, the bride's maid's dresses and the groomsmen's ties.
Lindsey and her father waited behind the wall and watched one by one as her bridesmaids walked down the aisle. Natasha, Ryan's daughter was the flower girl, and Sam was helping walk her down the aisle. She looked adorable, with her curly brown hair up in a ponytail and her big brown eyes smiling at everything. All of her bride's maid's hugged her and smiled at her, assured her everything was perfect and told her how happy they were for her and Jack, because if any two people in the world decided to be together, it was those two. Soon, they walked down the aisle and if left Lindsey alone with her dad.
"Lindsey, I'm so proud of you, I love you and you're the most amazing person I've ever met. Thank you for loving me after all that I did to you." He said looking into her crystal clear blue eyes.
She smiled at her dad, and hugged him, just as the music came on, they linked arms and she held her bouquet full of white roses at her chest. Everyone stood and turned to face her. Everyone's face said the same thing, she looked amazing.
But Lindsey couldn't focus on them, her eyes were on Jack, standing at the end of the aisle, she wanted to run to him, but she couldn't. So she smiled at him as he waited patiently for her to get there, his hands clasped in front of him.
Her dad kissed her cheek at the end and she gave her bouquet to Angel to hold and Jack took her hands. He gave them a slight squeeze and smiled at her. This was the one moment he had been waiting for all of his life. He loved this woman more than words could say.
"Dearly beloved…" The pastor began, but Lindsey couldn't focus on his words, she was too busy being lost in the dark brown eyes of the man that she loved.
"The groom would like to now say his vows."
She looked at him confused, "Vows?"
Jack smiled, "Don't worry. Lindsey, from the moment, I knew there was something about you; something I just couldn't look past. And I figured it out that God put you in my life for a reason, and I messed up, I know that, but you having the kindest heart on this earth and forgave me for the stupid mistake I made, and so this vow is a pledge to you that I will never hurt you again because I love you far too much. You mean the world to me."
Lindsey felt tears well up in her eyes and Jack said this so sweetly, so softly.
"I love you." He finished.
"I love you too."
"Jack Benson, do you take Lindsey Carson to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love and to hold, in sickness and in health, for better or for worse?"
"I do." He smiled.
"Lindsey Carson, do you take Jack Benson to be you lawfully wedded husband, to love and to hold, in sickness and in health, for better or for worse?"
"I do."
"I now pronounce you man and wife, you may kiss the bride."
Jack leaned in and wrapped his arms around her, and pressed his lips against hers. She wrapped her arms around his neck and everyone clapped.
And that day was the first day of the rest of their lives together.
A/N: Dearest readers, thank you so much for sticking with me through this, I don't know if anyone will come read this chapter but if you do, thanks. For everyone who reviewed you are much appreciated and I'm sure I'll write an Epilogue or something later, and then go back and edit everything cause I saw tons of mistakes!
But I love you all!
