I Told Ya So!

"Shut up." said a short dirty blonde haired boy, talking to another boy. The other one is about six foot, brown haired, grey eyed, and of fairly muscular build.

"You shut up Jake!" said the tall one, this is me. My name is Brian, and I'm 15. "It'll happen." I said, planting my foot.

"Yeah sure," he said sarcasticly. "Zombies will definately come and take over the world."

"Not take over, stupid, just over run." I replied.

"Hey look!" yelled a junior, named Jerry. "There's a stoner in the parking lot." This, of course, caused everyone in the class to rush to the windows.

"He's skrewed." I heard someone say. "Watson's goin' after 'im."

It was true, I thought. Our principle, , was walking out to the guy. He started to yell at him, but the guy just kept stumbling towards him. Then suddenly, the guy lunged at Watson, and took a bite out of his neck.

Everyone was screaming, and shouting. Except for me. I had planned for this day, for a long time. I grabbed a drum stand,(We were in band.) and headed for the door.

People were shoutin' at me to stop, butI ignored them all.

Jake, realizing I wasn't going to stop, called out, "Any last words?"

"Yeah, I told ya so!" and with that, I walked out the door.

Out in the hall, I was joined by my friend Austion, and surprisingly, Jake and Derf.

"So, you all decided you wanted to live, eh?" I asked, continuing past, now locked, classrooms.

"Yeah." said Derf, an average sized guy with dyed blonde hair.

"Whats the plan?" Asked Austin, another short kid with even shorter brown hair.

"We find key people, go steal the busses, come back, and take everyone to the airforce base." I said, not looking. "What class is Colten in?"

"Algebra." said Jake.

So we walked down the stairs and knoked on door.

"Who is it?" I heard him ask from the other side of the door.

"Brian, send Colten out." I said.

The door opened quickly, and out came Colten.

"Dick shoved me out." he said.

"Whatever." I said. "Lets continue." I said, walking down the hall.

Twenty minutes later, I had Blake, Ian, Cade, and David. Three senoiors and another freshmen.

"Alright," I satarted. "Whos got a car?"

"I do." said Blake.

"Good, lets go. Do you know how to get to the bus barn?"

"Yes."

"Excelent!" I shouted. "Now lets hurry before anymore of the bastards show up."

We were driving down the highway, headin' for the bus barn, when Cale asked it.

"Why are we going to the bus barn?"

"So we can get the rest of the school to the base."

"Oh. What about our parents and the other people?" he asked.

"Hate to say it, but by the number of zombies we've seen," as I sadi this we passed a small group of them. "I'd say most of them are dead."

"But-" he started.

"Please, no more questions."

"There it is." said David pointing ahead of us at a large tin garage.

As we stood outside the building, a thought struck me. "How are we supposed to get in?" I asked, pointing at a padlock on the door.

"Aw shit." said Austin.

"Nice plan." said Jake.

"Shut it." I said, turning to BlaKe. "Would ya mind?"

He nodded, and backed up about twenty feet from the door, and charged. That poor door didn't stand a chance, this guy's probably 200-250 pounds of muscle. The door shattered.

"Thank you." I said, steping over pieces of wood. "What was that Jake?"

About ten minutes later, we were all driving our own bus towards the school, driving slowly and cautiously, so as not to attract attention, 'cept me. I was goin' out of my way to hit any of the little bastards.

A voice crackled in over the radio, "Stop hittin' 'em!" shouted Ian. "You're gonna bring our way."

"Better to bring them here than the school."

"As we got closer to the school, we noticed that there was a lot more, well, destruction, down here. Cars crashed everywhere, smashed windows and broken doors.

"Please God no." I whispered to myself. As the school came into view, I knew it waa too late. There were samll fires in the windows, smashed doors, and bodies everywhere.

But as we pulled up, pone person came running out of the building. Twinkie.

"Hey!" he shouted running up to my bus. "Let me in!" I opened the door and he fell in.

"What happened?" I shouted.

"They just started to come out of nowhere!" he shouted. "Everyone was running, but the doors were locked. They couldn't get out."

"How did you get away?"

"I climbed the bleachers and they just ignored me, and when I heard the busses, I came running."

"Did anyone else...?"

"No..." he whispered as he sat down. "But we better hurry if we're gonn get out alive."

"Right." I said, picking up the radio. "Everyone, get on this bus and lets go."

A minute later they were all climbing throught the door. "Lets go!" Shouted Derf. "They're coming!"

I didn't need to be told twice. I slammed the gas pedal to the floor, and just drove over the curbs. "We're not stopping until we get to the base, after this."

"After what?" asked Ian.

"We need to get something to protect ourselves." I said pulling into the parking lot of Gunfire. "Grab a gun, and a couple boxes of ammo." I said opening the doors. "And watch your back." I said as I picked up a board.

"What gun do you think would be best?" asked Austin.

"Grab a strong rifle, and a good shot gun." said David.

"Uh huh." I said, not listening. I picked up a 7 Millimeter magnum rifle, a twelve gauge shotgun, and a .45 glock. I piked up a box of ammo for each, and a holster for the glock. Everyone esle pretty much had the same. Then, I saw something, a beautiful Colt Python. I had to, I grabbed it, a box of ammo , and another holster. I loaded all my guns, and waited for all the others to be done.

"Hey Twinkie, what do you need to make C4?" I asked.

"Just take me to Wal-Mart." he said.

"I thought you said no more stops." said Blake, walking over.

"Well, maybe one, no, two more won't hurt." I said, walking out to the bus.

"Two? Whats the other one?" asked Colten.

"A gas station."

"For what?" asked Jake.

"Glass bottles and gasoline. Molotovs."

"Good idea." said Ian.

"Yeah, those'll be- Ahh!" yelled Derf as a zombie tackled him. I pulled my Python out and shot it in the head. "Thanks." said Derf, as he got up.

"No prob." I said holstering it.

"Behind you!" yeleld Jake. I spun and drew my Python, firing off five shots, taking down five zombies. But they kept coming. I pulled out my glock and started shoting, and I heard the others start to shoot too.

"Get to the bus!" I shouted above the gunfire.

We all started to move towards the bus, shooting as we went. We climbed in, and I shut the door. David grabbed the wheel and drove us off so fast, you'd think we were in a freakin' mustang!

"To Wal-Mart?" David asked.

"To Wal-Mart." I said.
