You carry every sorrow,
and let no one inside;
your heart has built up many walls,
just so you can hide.

"When I look into your eyes,
I almost feel at peace.
But I remember where we are,
and cannot feel at ease."

You cannot hide such sadness, love;
why should you need to try?
The world sees joy within your smile,
but I still see you cry.

"You speak of love and happiness,
but you are bound to dreams.
If I could ask for anything,
I'd like life to be what this seems."
