A/N: I know that it is about damn time that I updated this story and honestly no excuse should make up for that. I know that this chapter should be longer but this is more of a connector chapter so that Lila and the finally member of this crew can meet and maybe save Kyle, that is if he evens needs them too but I'm getting a head of myself. This chapter kinda explains it all (hopefully). Please review and tell me what you think. :)

Matthew and Owen grabbed onto each Lila's arms knowing that she full and well wouldn't be willing to voluntarily go back to her father's ancestral home, it would be painful for her but they had to do it. They had been planning to this for months. Michael had found the last will and testament of Vincent Snyder, Lila's father, when he was help his grandma clean out the attic in the old house. He found something rather interesting it was a letter addressed to Lila. He found it rather funny because the letter was fastened with a red wax stamped with a small star design. It was strangely familiar and he found that the more time that passed the more the design haunted him.

He started looking through the old, dusty, family photo album. Nothing really stood out so he decided to take a look through Vincent's personal photo album. In it he found a picture of Vincent, Lila and their grandfather in the library. It really didn't seem like much of a find till he looked and his grandfather's hand, on it was a ring with the star pattern engraved on it, and in his had was a book called "Siguiente las Estrellas". The more he examined the picture them more he quickly discovered. Vincent also had a ring that was identical to his father's and the pattern was even engraved on Lila's locket.

His curiosity got the better of him so he quickly jumped down the fold up ladder and ran down two flights of stairs to the library to try find the book his grandfather was holding in the picture. He found it lying on the top of one of the many piles of dusty books. He blew the dust off and opened the book. On the inside cover of the book was an inscription that read;

"To my darling Lila,
In even in the depths of night,
You are the brightly shining light,
Like your mother form above,
Listen for the celestial call,
To fight the ones who would rule us all.
All of my Love, Dad"

He couldn't understand any of this, he was getting in way over his head. So he did the one thing he could and called Roxana, who spent most of her time with her nose in a book. Even together they couldn't figure it out. They did the only other thing they could and showed it to the rest of the gang, minus Lila. Then they plotted a way to get Lila back to the old house, the only way it would work was if it was a surprise and by force.

By the time they arrived at the old house it was almost noon, fortunately they had remembered to stop on the way for didn't take as long as Michael had expected to reach Hiedra Grove. When Lila realized where she was she ran into the small forest surrounding the house. Matthew almost instantaneously ran after her, not really that worried that he would get lost, he was pretty sure he would be able to find her before it got dark again, which gave him about 12 hours.

He eventually found her sitting on a bench that had been carved out of a fallen tree trunk and then sealed to stop it rotting. He causiously sat down beside her because from the back he honestly couldn't tell if she was upset or angry.

"We probably could have handled bringing you here a little better couldn't we?" She nodded very slightly to say that he should stay but also that he was right.

"Lila, there is a reason we brought you all the way out here, it has to do with your locket," he picked it up and opened it to see a photo of Vincent, Evangeline and Lila, her family as they once were. He then opened the second metal clasp to read the message that was engraved on it;

"Para mi amor,
para ayudarle
a seguir su estrella"

"There are some things that your father left you that you never even got to see." With that he stood up and held out his hand for her. She hesitantly toke his hand in her's and led him back towards the house. When the house came in to view Matthew took the lead and brought her straight into the library where he knew Michael was waiting.

"Lila, there's something I think you should see..." Michael said after he gave her a brief hug, "I'm surprised no one noticed before."

"Noticed what before?" she said as she was lead around piles and tables of books.

"This painting," He replied almost condescendingly, "it's a picture of you, granddad and your father. It's a painted version of a photo that I found in your fathers personal photo album. Funnily enough it wasn't in the family photo album. Look at the identical rings on both your father's and grandfather's hands, more importantly look at the design. Familiar or what?"

"Th-that's the same design as on my locket...b-b-b-but it's also the one on the spine of the book?" she scanned the close vicinity looking for the book. Michael passed the book to her from its resting place at the edge of the mantel.

"There's an inscription in there that is addressed to you," he shuffled his feet a slight bit as he pulled the still sealed letter from its new hiding place behind the painting, "there's also this but you aren't supposed to open it till you turn 21." Michael looked down slightly awkwardly as he handed it to her.

She tore her eyes off the pattern, that seemed deeply engrained in her being, to open the book and read the inscription from her dad. It was strange that he had written this note to her in English because he used to try speak only in Spanish to her, to remind her of her mother. Not only that but the book was Spanish, she was slightly confused. So she flipped through the pages till the page the writing started, it was all hand written.

Dearest Lila, I'm sure that you have so many questions. Things must be happening earlier than we would have liked that means, but don't worry, trust me. I know that I must be dead if your reading this, and so is your grandfather. Before I explain anything else what about a story, a legacy, a prophecy, what ever you wish to call it?

Back before the fall of the Roman Empire. Before Caesar seized control of Italy. When Menes was Pharaoh of Egypt. There was a high priest who was married to one of the Pharaoh's daughters. This man was cursed and blessed all at the same time depending on which way you view it. He chose it to be this way. He saw the forth-coming darkness on the horizon. He spoke to his Gods, to find away to defeat this darkness. They told him the only thing that could stop it was the elements. They said they would bind the elements in human form. To do this he had to accept certain conditions, a curse of a kind. He gladly accepted these conditions for the good of his people. He was cursed to die before his first daughter was to turn the age of five. He was blessed when his wife bore him six sons. Each of his sons was gifted with the ability to command one of the six (most commonly decided at the time) elements: air, fire, water, earth, wood and metal. His six sons bickered and as they were the first elementals of kind their powers quickly consumed them. The sons fought all the time, constantly waging war on one another. They were all killed in one of these wars, after this it was decided that the elements should not be separated. Yet we, and the priest, know that there are actually nine elements. After his sons had died there was no one to fight the darkness so the priest was blessed with one more son. This son had domain over all the six elements that his brothers used to have control over so the six physical elements were to remain together in harmony, in one body. His son was born a twin, a girl, which was his first daughter. He knew his end was near, so the Gods promised him that he and his wife would be rewarded in the afterlife for all their pain, suffering and sacrifice. His daughter had control over the other three intangible elements: time, space and spirit. The Gods knew that the kind of power that came with these three elements could not be trusted to a male given the past experiences with this family's misfortunes. This was also the gods' last chance; the wise priest would be dying soon. It was a miracle he had lived as long as he had. His first child had been born to him at the age of fifteen. His next five sons were born over the following three years. They killed each other when their father was almost at the age of thirty-five. After his sons' death it was six years till his wife bore him twins. He died four days before the third birthday of his first daughter. Unbeknown to the high priest his wife was pregnant with a baby girl, his second daughter. This daughter was to light the way, to scatter the darkness. Though because her husband's death was so early on during the pregnancy she was forced to send her daughter to live in Greece with her youngest sister who had just recently been told that she was unable to bear child. Misfortunes followed as soon as the twins had reached the age of ten their mother died and they were never told of their sister's survival. Even more misgivings followed and when the twins had reached the age of 12 they were forced to do battle with the darkness. Though without their younger sister's unknown power they were not able to defeat the darkness only send it forward in time. The twins went to their father's old temple and there they sacrificed there lives to the Gods. As they both plunged the daggers into their hearts their lost sister had a vision of when the powers were to be needed again, until then they would remain dormant. The only indication of when that would be was a note left inside the locket she gave to her daughter;

"The falling of a heavenly star,
Will start the gathering from afar.
No more champions will we mourn,
Till a seventh son be born.
Then one little scattered light,
Will face this woeful fight,
To end this darkening night."

I know that this may not make much sense, but I have to explain somethings to you. It's about your mother, well she never died, she's still alive and I'm going to need you to find her. Can you do that? Her name is Evangeline Harper. There is so much more to explain but do this for me first, find your mother and then and only then continue reading this book.

"My mum's still alive..." she looked at Matthew who was almost white, "and we have to go find her..."
