He looked around the bar, she was here, somewhere. He just had to find her first.
He let his eyes roam around the room sitting on his high perched stool. He held his untouched drink clutched loosly in his hands. The room was noisey, nothing new for this place, this place was always seemed to be booming, thats why he liked to come here when he picked.
He was about to give up when his eyes catched a flash of red, he found her, he new the second his eyes landed on her. She had firey curly red hair, fair skin, grey eyes, and was smileing around a margarita glass with a cheshire cat smile. She was sitting in a back dark corner with a group of friends who all seemed happy and well into a few rounds of drinks. He smiled and slid off his stool walking over to the corner and takeing a empty table next to theirs.
"Amber!" Said the red head hitting a ditzy looking blonde sitting to her right. Everyone at the table but the red head burst out into laughter. "Oh come on Liz, don't tell me you haven't thought about it." Said a boy sitting across from her, well built, kinda of the jock type with a buzz cut and a tight muscle shirt. "No I haven't." Said Liz blushing perfusley burrying her face farther into her margarita glass.
He looked her over from his near by table, she didn't seem to fit in with the rest somehow. The two other girls sitting at the table where both shades of blonde with the average mini skirts and to low cut tank tops, painted on faces with clear lip gloss and barley any eyelinder, but tons of foundation and masscare. The men, there where four of them, where all the sport type, nice bodies, short cut hair, two wearing team jersies.
"Liz" on the other hand was wearing dark midnight blue eyeshadow, noticable eyelinder, though not over doing it, she didn't seem to be wearing any other makeup. Her cloths where jeans and a baggy t-shirt, her shoes he noticed where black leather boots with a inch heel.
"Oh come on Liz! Get real!" Said the second girl, a rather big bustted blonde. "He asked to move in with you, what do you thinks going to happen? Hes going to sleep on the couch the whole time?" She asked. Liz's blush deepend.
"I haven't said yes yet Jaz." She said quietly.
"You've been dateing for almost a year." Said one of the guys, name not given so far.
"So?" She said looking sadly down at her empty margarita glass, she waved for a waitress not looking at the boy who had spoken to her.
"Soooooo." Said Amber nudgeing her smileing. "Hes not going to be patient forever." The man at the next table frowned, compatition wasn't anything he enjoyed.
"Look, its none of you guy's buisness what me and Adam do." Said Liz beginning to look irittated. She picked up the Maragrita the waitress just put down and took a large sip. She then pulled her wallet out of her pocked and dug around for some money. The man at the next table grabbed the waitresses arm when she passed and slipped some money into her hand telling her it was for the red heads drink. Then he stood and walked outside the bar.
About twnety minutes later Liz and her friends walked ( stumbled ) out, most laughing and hanging on eachother. Liz walked seperate, her face pensive. "Hey guys, I think I'm gonna walk." She said turning in a diffrent direction.
"Oh come on Liz, I hope your still not mad at us." Said Amber pouting. "Its dangerous out there and you've been drinking"
"And so have you idiots." She said playfully. "I dont feel like being a add for why drunk driveing is stupid"
She turned and startted walking. The man hideing in the showers waited for the rest to get in there cars and pull out before he appeard and headed in Liz's direction. She was walking slow and it wasn't hard to catch up.
She was humming to herself, she seemed to be handleing the drinks rather well, a little wobbly, but unless you where looking for it, you wouldn't be able to tell. She pulled her black English style leather jacket around her tighter and picked up her pace. It was getting colder out, he couldn't feel it, but he could see the reactions from the other humans around him. They continued walking for a few minutes before Liz crossed a street, she glanced behind her as they waited for the light to change. She met his eyes, he paused in his constant observation and stared back, for the few seconds, curiosity, annoyence, and fear crossed her eyes. In this city any women at this time of night would have the same reaction to a man this close to her. But when he saw those things, his want to have her strengthend and it took more will power then he thought to stand there and act normal. Normal was not his strong suit.
She looked away leaning away slightly, the second the light turned she practically jumped the first few steps, it didn't matter, he was still the same length behind her that he was before in a few seconds. Her pace picked up when she glanced behind her a second time about a minute later, once again he just stared cooley back as her eyes scanned over him. He faded into a ally when she walked up the steps to a old appartment building. She got to the door and turned the key, she looked around one more time before walking in and shutting the door hard behind her. He watched from his spot, the door was see through, he enjoyed watchined her bound up the steps. He waited for a few moments, then looked up at the many windows. He judged the strength of the old fire escapes for a moment before takeing a leap towards the nearest one.
