I feel trapped.
I feel like a caged animal in this house.
Never allowed the freedom this nation hath promised.
Two murky shadows from my dreams
prevent me from drinking in the sweet wild water of the river,
singing to every little flower on the shoulders on the interstate of life,
dancing through a yellowing field of wheat.
I vow
I shall run once the eighteenth year approaches
I shall just leave
I shall just walk on the shoulder of God's road.
I shall be only accompanied by the robin in the morn and
The crickets shall lull me with their sweet chirps
To sleep.
A pen and journal my only companion
Life was suppose to be free
With buildings and technology,
We have ruined the Earth along with our souls
But not I
I shall walk the Earth and live as God intended
I will not have a name,
I will have no phone,
I will not have a plan
But I shall be happy
but those two shadows from my dreams stop it all
