Rolling down a cliff face

No hand holds to grip as the rapid movement catapults me

Down, down

Rocks breaking my skin

Scraping fresh wounds

This will only last a second

It will only hurt for a few terrifying moments until

Stillness

The absence of chaos

This is where I am

A temperature that's so evolved it's neither cold nor warm

I wander around this new galaxy

I don't crave anything

Or look for anything

You don't get any phone calls on this planet

This place is so evolved you don't need to eat or drink

Or run or fetch or carry

You don't have homework, you don't need a job

A pleasant hum that's not quite lyrical

Your hands can feel a light breeze

You are content to walk

Feeling as if you know all the answers

What's the world

It doesn't matter to you

Your brain doesn't even know about screaming children, rape or murder,

Pain or pedophilia

There's no government in this place

There's only you, and you are all that matters

You sit beneath a tree of purple fruit

If you try to pick one up it becomes a cool mist then dissolves

You know the fruit doesn't taste like anything

You stretch out under the tree, the light breeze runs over your skin

You look up and see stars that twinkle and change colours

Stars that are any colour you want them to be

You could go to sleep but sleep isn't necessary

You are always comfortable, awake and un-phased

You don't remember another world

Something has wiped your memory in the transition

You've landed somewhere that requires nothing of you

Your mind has collapsed into a vortex

That made everything disappear.
