Sunshine was a great thing in nature. Come spring time, it was used to help beautiful flowers grow and to dry up the many rain showers that April brought. Sunshine helped keep lazy cats warm, and the days bright. Sunshine was useful all around, but it was just one of the many things that Phoenix Saotome loathed in the world.
The said priestess in training lay curled up under the protective bed sheet, trying in vain to will away the brightness and the heatness that the sun brought at twelve noon each day. It was still early in her mind, and there were plenty of hours to sleep away – and she was intending to ignore her sunny foe – when her future husband to be crawled on top of her. Though she was in the comfort of her sheet, and thus blinded by the white linen, she could tell it was Arca, simply for the facts that the bed only dipped a certain way when he got on it, and that she was never startled by his presence and instead, was comforted by it.
"My dearest lady, I believe it's time to wake," came his voice in a low and soothing tone that made her think that if he continued talking to her like this, he would only succeed in lulling her /back/ to sleep.
"Mmmm, no…" was her response, as she curled up more on her side and tried to cling to his arm through the sheet.
"Now Phi-Dono…" She could hear the smile in his voice, and knew that whatever it was that she did, amused him on some level that made her feel good in a way she really didn't understand.
She sensed him leaned down towards her, and felt his warm lips press against her cheek through the fabric. His light kiss that was more of a brushing of skin traveled up to her ear, and his voice broke the silence of their breathing. "How about this… If you /get/ up, I will find a way to /keep/ you up…" And then his large hand was suddenly pressed up against her bottom, fingers curling slightly into the plump flesh.
She sighed lightly and arched into his hold, before pulling the sheet down far enough so that her head was revealed. Her reddened face turned up towards him, blinking glazed eyes that were slightly hinted with lust. "Arca…" she mewed softly, shifting her hips against his hand to create more friction.
"Phoenix…" He murmured, tilting his head down to kiss her on those slightly parted lips that called to him in a most tempting way.
A sudden squawk from somewhere to the right of the bed made both of the lovers pause before their lips even met. Two pairs of lilac colored eyes blinked at each other, before they were turned simultaneously toward the noise.
Kiata, in all her disturbing naked glory, lay curled up on her back, sleeping all too peacefully in a large ray of sunshine on their wooden bedroom floor. The warm shard of UV ray was currently bathing the lesbianic cat demon, keeping her dozing off in a dream land that Arca and Phoenix wished didn't have to be in /their/ room.
"Damn…" cursed the tall Nymfinity male, already knowing that he lost this battle.
"Well, I'm going back to sleep," said an all too willing waitress, closing the deal.
Though sometimes the sunshine was her enemy, it proved useful in extremely rare occasions. Though she didn't really know if not getting laid was a good thing…
