How long have you been writing?

I really want to know.

Because I'm fairly new at this,

And I'm sure my poems must blow.

How long have you been writing?

How much time to get so good?

I think I'm pretty young at heart,

I might not be the best I could.

How longer have you been writing?

Repetition and rhymes I can do.

Even if repeating gets so old.

I might need a dictionary, too.

How long have you been writing?

I just don't have the grace.

I wish I would have started sooner-

I'm only a freshman in this place.

How long have you been writing?

Say, "I'll make my official start!"

And then you wrote that awesome story,

You completely rocked the chart!

I'm not the best at writing.

But I love it- I do!

And that is why I do admire,

The love that you have too!

Well, I broke the repetition.

Which means something, don't you think?

Did you blush- your face go pink?

How long have you been writing?

On the page so white and clean?

Did you ever face the world,

But fall because it's so mean?

How long have you been writing?

And can you give me some advice?

I know I'm young and crazy.

But some help would be quite nice.
