She tries to hide it, her face becomes a mask,

Her voice devoid of emotion, her eyes unspeaking.

She tells everyone she's fine, only a few see her un-falling tears.

Still she pushes them away when all she wants is a lifeline,

An anchor, something to hold onto, to keep her in reality, is all she needs.

Dieing is what she feels like doing but she can't, she won't,

She thinks she isn't worthy of dieing, that she needs to suffer.

They try to help her dry the tears from her eyes,

Try to stop her drowning, but her misery and doubt consumes her.

She hears them, she listens as they try to help,

They remind her that things could be worse, that other people have it worse.

Instead of helping this makes her feel worse, like she's a failure.

She starts to fall, and she falls deep, becoming more dangerous the further she fell.

People keep trying to help her, but she keeps falling, slipping from their grasps.

She doesn't want to hurt them, so she pushes them away,

She only talks to herself, punishing herself more than anyone else could.

Eventually she begins to accept that nothing good can happen to her,

All she accepts is pain and it's presence looming in her future.

No one sees her anymore, she just keeps slipping, unnoticed till one person,

One person is all it takes, he sees the pain she feels and beyond, he shows her how to live.

So she takes a chance, a leap of faith, she puts her trust in him.

He makes her laugh despite it all, he reminds her to hope and dream,

He teaches her to love, though she never believed she could, he helps her find herself.

She reaches out for him, the one person she trust and loves more than anything else,

Her hands grasp at the empty air of where he stood, she starts to fall again.

He disappeared on her, leaving her to fall, and not in love, in despair.

The only thing she trusts now is that pain is all she can expect in her life.
