LIZZ POINT OF VIEW

After that scary meeting with our captor, Andrew has been acting weird, he no longer tried to talk to me nor have I seen him laugh in the past week. His face seemed to be plastered with the same worried haggard look day in and day out. Sometimes when I woke up late at night I would see him furrowing at the ceiling and by the looks on his face I could tell that he hasn't slept a wink.

I tried asking him about it but he just smiled and said it was nothing but I knew there was definitely something. There was a strong feeling in my gut telling me that it has something to do with what our captor had said the other night.

Days later he was asked to leave the room yet again, only this time I wasn't allowed to accompany him. By the time he got back to the room not only was he panting heavily, he also had a couple of bruises on his face. I was starting to get really worried for him.

The answers to the unsolved mystery finally came to me one night. I was thrown out of bed at three in the morning. Well that wasn't the best way to start of the day especially this early in the morning. I knew sharing a bed with Andrew was going to be hazardous.

I sighed. Well I sure wasn't going to fall asleep anytime soon after being kicked off . Andrew was tossing turning. What was really odd was that he was moaning my name repeatedly. Just hearing my name coming from his mouth made me felt like there were little butterflies fluttering in my stomach.

He looks like he's having a night mare or something, what with all that sweat and all that tossing and turning. I have to admit even in a scared sleeping kind of state he still looked pretty hot. Wait what? Did I just think that, huh I guess it must be the after effect of being cooped up for too long.

" Lizz! Lizz! NO! NO! let her go! She doesn't have anything to do with this, it's my family that you've got a problem with. It isn't fair for you to drag her into this too." He begged.

What he said really disturbed me. If what he's dreaming- talking is going to be real I'm imagining a not so happy ending for the both of us at the end of this little 'vacation'. All I could do was hope that he has a really sick twisted imagination and what he was dreaming wasn't a sign as to what will happen sometime in the near future.

The following morning I decided to confront Andrew about what was really happening. I ignored the little voice in my head that kept saying 'ignorance is bliss' as I got out of bed that morning, for the second time.

During breakfast I was thinking of ways to persuade him into telling me what was really going on. Finally I decided it would be best if I randomly brought it up in a friendly conversation. Okay but where do I start? Think! Think! Yeah I got it, he used to play football at some part of his life. I'm pretty sure I heard it was a sport that had to do with balls but which one. I'm guessing basket ball. Okay here goes.

"So I hear you were quite the basketball player are you going to pursue it professionally or was it just for fun?" I asked casually while scooping some porridge into my mouth.

He raised an eyebrow, I guess he was saying 'that was random' he didn't answer me instead he took a bite out from his apple. "Why the sudden interest in my football career?"

"I was just interested in getting to know you better since we are going to be spending a lot of time together" I flashed him my pearly whites.

He opened his mouth to speak but changed his mind at the last moment and closed it again. He kept repeatedly doing that which made him look like a gold fish I had at home. It was so funny seeing him like that I couldn't help it but laugh.

Puzzled as to why I started to laugh so he decided to ask. "If you don't mind my asking but what in the world are you laughing about?"

"Oh nothing, I randomly like to do and say silly things. Hey since we're on the subject of randomness, mind telling me what happens at the end of this little vacation?" saying the last part a little softer.

With a sigh he said. "I'm not that sure as to what will happen but lets try to enjoy it while we're still alive" he said looking at his half eaten apple.

"Okay after you're done talking to your apple, answering my question would be nice" I said trying to lighten the mood.

"Lizz, hey you know what lizz sounds like lizard and you look nothing like a lizard plus I don't like lizards very much, so why not I call you Callie instead?" it was obvious he was trying to change the subject.

"Sure, if it makes you happy" I shrugged "anyway quit changing the subject, I want to know what happens after all of this?"

"I told you I don't really know what is going to happen." I knew he was lying by the way he purposely avoided eye contact with me.

"Then why don't you look at me while saying it, because somehow I've got a feeling you know a whole lot more than what you're letting on. So please spare me the bull shit and just get to the point please." I said a little irritated.

"I don't know how to break it to you, I mean if I could change who I dragged here with me I would, wait no that's not it! I mean." he raked his fingers through his soft brown hair.

"We're not going to survive to see what happens after all of this are we?" I asked, I wasn't sure that he heard what I said as it was barely above a whisper. He looked at me with a dumbfounded look on his face.

He didn't have to answer me, by the look on his face I could tell that I was spot on about not surviving. I didn't know what to think at that moment but somehow an image of my mum crying herself to sleep a few months ago appeared in my mind.

How was she going to take it, first losing dad in that freak accident, if she lost me too , I wouldn't know what to think. Would she be okay? She would blame herself for losing me too. Just like that time when we lost dad.

"Excuse me, I …" I let my voice trail off because tears were welling up in my eyes. I was going to make a run for the bathroom in which I plan to cry my eyes out. I told myself I would never cry, I promised dad I wouldn't.

But this was just too much, before I could make my retreat, I felt Andrew pull me into a brotherly hug, only it wasn't brotherly and he's not my brother.

At first I didn't know what to do. But the tears in my eyes were already streaming down my face. I buried my face into the hollow of his neck, crying my eyes out.

"Shhh. I'll think of something I promise. Don't worry I wouldn't let anything happen to you." He said trying to reassure me. "Everything will be alright."

"Oh get real Andrew, that was what you said the very first day we got here. Look around you, we are still stuck in this stupid room in this stupid mansion" I snapped at him. As soon as I said it I wanted to take it all back I knew he was only trying to make me feel better I had no right no take my anger out on him.

I was half expecting him to push me away and storm off to the other end of the room but he didn't. He hugged me tighter. "I'm sorry for dragging you into this, you're probably thinking you're too young to die. You haven't done all the things you wanted to do yet."

"No, it's not that" I rubbed the tears from my eyes. " I just kept thinking about my mum, first she lost my dad to that freak accident about 6 months ago, what'll she do once I'm gone too" my voice started breaking and tears started to accumulate in my eyes once more.

"She blamed herself for surviving while he didn't make it. They were strolling down the street walking hand in hand. It was their anniversary, so they thought to go back to the place they first met. It was supposed to be a great night." I wailed.

"Until three drunk teenagers.. three drunk under age teenagers" I sobbed remembering that day. "They… they drove onto the pavement and… were heading straight for my parents"

"My dad saw it coming so he pushed mum out of the way but didn't have enough time to avoid being hit himself. He was rushed to the hospital but he had lost too much blood." I couldn't continue, it just hurt to much remembering how my dad's second in command, Mr. Bradley told me the bad news that night. When he told me I was half expecting him to break into a fit of laughter telling me it was a joke.

I didn't know how or when I ended up sitting on Andrews lap but when I finally finished crying. I got off his lap and rubbed my eyes.

"I'm sorry for all the waterworks. It must have been a nightmare for you, having to listen to me ramble on and on about my not so perfect life." I laughed unconvincingly.

"Hey it's okay. I knew what's it like to loose someone you love." He smiled at me I was waiting for him to tell me about his story but he didn't.

"Anyway, tell me about what you know. And don't forget to tell me about your master plan as to how we are going to escape I hope it's better than the last one." I said, trying to lessen the awkwardness of the situation.

"I don't exactly know that much but her goes. Our captor only wants me and my father out of the picture but unfortunately for you he couldn't possibly just let you go incase you leak something out. Therefore he's planning an 'accident' to happen so that no one would ask any unwanted questions." He explained.

"As for my brilliant master plan, well you just have to trust me on that." he smiled at me.

"Mind telling me your brilliant plan, so that I would know what to do when the time comes to make a run for it?" I asked

"No way, I have it all planned if I tell you, the magic of it will be gone and it wouldn't be fun. Plus if we live through this it would be a hell of a great story to tell our grandchildren some day." he grinned. I didn't know what surprised me more, the part where he wanted me to blindly follow his plan or the part where he said our grandchildren.

I knew he didn't mean as in 'our grandchildren' as in me having his children but somehow I wished he had meant it. I almost slapped myself for thinking that. What the hell was wrong with me .

"Don't worry about it Callie" he kissed my forehead. "Trust me on this, I have a good feeling about it. You'll just have to play along."

I was going to point out that I never do something unless I knew that it has a 90 percent chance of succeeding but it was a too good a moment to spoil. So I just kept my mouth shut and smiled.

About three days later, the scary woman with the Russian accent came in with our supper. Well that was peculiar, usually a stout old lady would be the one who brought us our supper. Maybe she had a change of heart.

"Hurry up and eat up, you brats I have other things to do then babysit you." Or not. Doesn't this woman have a heart? She might be a robot or some sort programmed to do what ever her master wished her to.

"You! Girl what are you looking at didn't I tell you to hurry up and eat your super?" she snapped at me. At that moment Andrew leaned closer to me and whispered " play along". What does that mean?

"Excuse me miss.. oh sorry I didn't get your name." Andrew asked innocently, somehow I had a feeling that this was it. His 'brilliant plan'.

"It doesn't matter what my name is, what do you want you brat?!" she asked coldly.

"Yeah right okay, so I was thinking if you would permit me I would like to take a walk around the garden tonight with my girlfriend here. after all you told me that my father was coming in two days." He let his voice trail off.

I see what's he doing, he was trying to get outdoors so that we can escape but I still don't know what he's master plan was. Was it running into the woods? Wouldn't they just search for us or burn the whole forest down while trying to accomplish it?

"Oh I see you want to have some alone time with your little girlfriend before you swim with the fishes." She laughed at her lame attempt of a joke. "Very well then I will send a guard to accompany the two of you."

"But miss we would like some time alone you know." He moved closer and whispered something in her ear. She looked bored at what he said and nodded.

"Come my Callie darling, we would have the most romantic time of our lives." He put his arm around my waist while giving me a peck on my lips before winking at me. I was a loss for words, afraid my voice would betray me, I just smiled and nodded.

Once we were far away from ear shot he whispered his plan in my ear. "Okay listen to me Callie what ever happens to me you have to make sure they do not find you okay? So here's my plan."

"Wait! Are you planning for something to happen to you?" I asked. Was he trying to say he's willing to be bait in order for me to escape?

"No, no okay just listen okay, there is a cave about half way up of that mountain," he said pointing towards the tallest one. "I've been here before so don't worry about me not knowing where it is. Anyway back to my plan."

"Once they started finding for you, find a place to hide and pray that you don't get found. If they haven't found you come morning, tear your shirt up and drop it into the river." I was going to protest but he put a finger on my mouth before I could utter a word.

"Here, put this on instead." He pressed another shirt into my hands. " don't worry they wont suspect a thing because no one saw me take this when we left the room just now."

I just nodded. For someone who doesn't like to think things through, I have to say he did plan this quite well. I just hope that everything turns out okay at the end of it.

When I look up into his eyes he has that intense look in his eyes but I didn't know what to make of it. He put his hands on my waist and pulled me closer and pressed a his lips to mine.

What this for real? what ever his intention for kissing me I didn't care I kissed him back with a fiery passion. When I opened my eyes I saw a guard looking at us closely. So that was why he kissed me to prove that we weren't going to make a run for it.

"Do you mind?" he said in an irritated voice. The guard looked bored and turned around.

Once he was sure no one else was watching us, he grabbed my hand and made a run for it. About half a minute later the guard realized that we trying to escape and the alarms went off. I could her dogs barking in the back ground and heavy footsteps running towards us.

"Go! Hide!" Andrew told me as he ran the other way.

"Andrew! Are you mad? What are you doing?" I shouted at him. He didn't even look back as he continued running in the other direction. I didn't know whether to go after him or trust what he told me to do and hoped that we both make it out of this alive.

I climbed up a tree and got into a comfortable position because I knew I had to stay that way for a really long time.

A few hours later, I heard foot steps coming my way. It was a big bulky man with him there was a dog. They stopped right under the tree I was hiding and the dog started barking at me.

At that moment I didn't know what to do. Should I run, or should sit in the tree like a duck? I was praying for a miracle to help me out of this. Just then a squirrel drop out of the tree distracting the dog.

The beefy looking guard looked annoyed with the dog. So he took up a walkie- talkie and began speaking into it. " Yeah had no luck with the girl. Apparently captain was more interested in finding dinner than the brat."

"Bummer, we've found our guy but he wouldn't give in without a fight, we followed him to the waterfall but he must have slipped and fell in. all that's left of him is his shirt" said a gruff voice.

"Right well, we'll start search on the girl tomorrow, lets just pray she hasn't made a run for it." with that he walked away with the dog following close behind.

Tears started flowing down my face. So that was what Andrew did, he used him self as bait to get me safe. How could he have been so stupid! Maybe I should just turn myself in and be done with it.

After a few hours of sleep I still felt horrible. The only difference now was that I'm much more able to think with a clear mind. I got down from my hiding spot and took my shirt off before replacing it with the shirt Andrew gave me.

I found a rock and shred the shirt that I took off before chucking it in the river and making my way towards the cave Andrew had pointed out to me last night.

A/N: yay! 400 hits :D haha. so how do you like this new chapter? Tell me.. I'm all ears haha…
