"Frozen As I Fall"
June 26, 2009
What would you do if your world hated you?
I've been told to move on.
But I'm frozen—without anything to do.
The ropes of your words restrain me.
I'm stuck in a world that's supposed to be mine.
You claim to care, but all you're willing to
Hear is "I'm fine."
All I hear is your medication talking.
My guilt builds; your dedication falls.
And I'm frozen—I try to keep walking
Towards that distant place that house memories—
Memories where you knew me, where you loved me.
You claim to care, but all you're willing to
See is what you want to see.
I've bottled up everything I feel,
In order to give you what you want.
But I'm frozen—trapped in what's actually real.
The things you say cut me off,
Like scissors slicing what's left of this girl.
You claim to care, but all you're willing to
Do is control my world.
In my world, there's no escape.
It's yours now.
I bet you enjoyed the sound of my fall.
Nothing can put me back together—
You can have it all.
