Chapter One

April Tenth, Present Day

Kennedy Thomas

Taking a deep breath, I pushed the glass door open and stepped out into the pouring rain. I took off in a run across the parking lot, holding the hood of my jacket all the way forward to keep the water off of my and hair. I stopped next to my car, digging my keys out from the depths of my bag as the frigid rain cut through the air and soaked into my clothes. Pushing the key into the door and ripping it open, I slipped into the car.

As I pulled the door closed behind me, I grabbed my cell phone out of the cup holder and turned it on. I started the car, but didn't move at first. I read through my text messages before dialing a number. Nicolette picked up on the second ring.

"Hello, Kenny-dee. How are you on this positively dreary evening?" my best friend sang into the phone.

"Well," I began, "I'm soaking wet and tired after one of the longest days of my life. Some little kid threw-up all over me and I'm pretty sure I still smell like it, even though I'm wearing new pants and washed up."

She giggled into the phone. "I'm sorry. So you're hopping into the bathtub right now?"

Grinning, I reached back and pulled the seatbelt across my chest, buckling up. I backed out of the parking spot and said, "Of course not. I've got a date with Dante's nice, warm bed and his taut body." I turned the car onto the street and drove in the opposite direction of my apartment.

"One of these days, Jeremiah and Landon are going to find out about this, or they are going to find you in the throes. You're going to be locked in a room and they're going to kill Dante."

Shaking my head, I bid her goodbye and hung up. I sped off, driving through the rain-soaked roads.

Ten minutes later, I turned onto the street to the townhouse that my brothers shared with Dante Romero. Once the townhouse was in view, I searched for lights and was happy to find the place glowing. I pulled into the spot right next to Jeremiah's car on the driveway. I slipped out of the car and ran to the safety of the covered porch.

Opening the door, I made my way into the living room. "Knock, knock," I sang as I flopped onto the couch next to Jeremiah. I gazed at Dante with a coy smile and slight raise of an eyebrow.

I felt Jeremiah's hand pat my head a couple of times before he stood up. "You hungry?" he mumbled.

"Starving," I drawled, looking pointedly at Dante. I kicked my shoes off and looked over my shoulder. "What'cha got?"

"Food."

I nodded, sitting up. That's a good thing." He looked back at me as he pulled out a loaf of bread. "Do you have any—" I stopped taking when he held out a bag of shaved turkey. With a smile, I said, "You know me so well, Jeremiah." I slid down the armrest of the couch, looking over at Dante with lustful eyes.

He scratched the back of his neck, smirking down at his lap. Jeremiah walked up behind me, setting the plate on my stomach before pushing my legs up to make room for himself. He sprawled out, continuing to watch the baseball game in progress on the television across the room. With that, I turned to my sandwich, devouring it.

When I looked up, I saw both guys staring at me. "What?" I asked, setting the plate on the ground next to the couch.

"Did you even take a breath in between bites?" Jeremiah asked, eyes wide. "You inhaled that thing."

I frowned. "So I like to eat. Do you have a problem with that?" I demanded. Dante smirked and shook his head, hauling himself off of the couch and crossed the living room. I followed him with my eyes, but he veered off before he got to the stairs, slipping into the small bathroom.

I looked back at Jeremiah to see him staring back at me.

"Like what you see?" he asked with a laugh, turning back to the game. I picked up a discarded pillow from the couch and chucked it at him. It missed and bounced on the ground.

He continued to smirk when Dante came back. I scooted over to Jeremiah and threw my arm around his shoulder, hugging him to my side. "What if I said that I did?" I whispered into his ear. I watched his eyes go wide. "I'm just kidding." I smiled and straightened up. I peeled my jacket off, leaving me in a light sweater.

I crossed my legs and pulled out my phone as the baseball game droned on. I looked up every once in a while to check on Dante. And I caught him stealing glances at me a couple of times. I waited for Jeremiah to go to his room for the night.

"When are you gonna head home?" Jeremiah asked, leaning back on the couch.

I looked at him. "Do you want me to go? I thought that you liked it when I came to visit, if if not..." I brought my legs down.

"Stay as long as you want," he stated, not taking his eyes off of the television. I rolled my eyes and curled up in the corner of the couch. I looked at Dante and sighed. He glanced over his shoulder with a smile.

I turned back to face my brother. "If you want me to head out, I can. All you have to do is ask."

"Don't care if you stay all night, Ken. I just wanted to know." He tilted his head. "I don't want to go in my room and leave you out here by yourself."

"You don't have to wait up. I can let myself out once I'm ready to go home." Tucking my legs underneath myself, I muttered, "It's not like I'm going to steal anything from your house." I was quiet for a moment. "Plus, Dante's still up."

He didn't answer, so I went back to looking at my phone. The game went into extra innings and went late into the night. It was well past eleven o'clock when Jeremiah stood up from the couch after the last out in the fourteenth inning. He leaned down, pressing a kiss to my forehead before he headed to his bedroom, the only one on the first floor. I watched him disappear around the corner before turning back to Dante.

"Is Landon here?" I asked, standing from the couch. I walked over and stood in front of Dante, pulling him to his feet. He followed me as we moved to the stairs.

"Yeah, but I'm pretty sure he's asleep. He came home at seven, ate, and went to bed."

I nodded as I spun around, heading up the stairs. I felt his hands move to my hips as I took the steps two at a time. "So, we can't be loud."

"Nope," he whispered in my ear once we made it to the top. I made my way to his bedroom and pushed the door open. He closed the door and stood there, watching as I brought my hands to the hem of my sweater, pulling it over my head. I tossed it to the side of the room and popped the button on my pants, pushing them down my legs. I stepped out of them and hopped onto the bed.

"Your turn."

He pulled his shirt over his head and kicked his pants off in one move, striding over clad in just his dark green boxer briefs. I unhooked my bra and let it fall down my arms; I set it on the bed next to me as he brought his lips down on mine. My hand came between us, running against the taut, tanned skin there. I felt his erection press against my panties.

I reared up, pushing myself up onto my knees and grabbing his hands. He fell onto the bed next to me. "Lift up," I said as I tugged his boxer briefs. They moved down his legs as he lifted his bottom half off the bed. I licked my lips as I gazed at the smattering of hair on his expansive chest and large member. He jerked my arm, bringing me over him. My center hovered over his erection. "I need to take these off," I said, snapping the waistband of my panties. "And you need a condom."

"Hop off and grab one after you drop those panties."

Sighing, I climbed off of him and made my way to his dresser. I pulled the top drawer open and grabbed a come from the small pile at the bottom. I slammed the drawer shut before turned around and moved back to the bed. I lobbed the condom at him before ripping my panties down to my ankles, kicking them off. He tore the package open and rolled it onto his shaft. I crawled up, putting a hand on the bed as I lowered myself onto his manhood.

I bit my lip as my head fell back.

A moan escaped my mouth as I began to move on his shaft. I leaned forward and captured Dante's lips, dragging my tongue along her lower lip to grant me access. His hands wrapped around my rear, guiding me as I moved.

Running my mouth from his lips, down to his jaw and neck, I bit down gently. I propelled my body and felt the beginning of an orgasm.

"I'm close, baby," Dante said, bringing his hands to my hips. He pulled me flush against his chest.

Suddenly, the feeling of fabric was against my back. I realized Dante had flipped us over. With a hand on either side of my body, he began to thurst himself into my heat. My head lolled back and an involuntary moan slipped out of my mouth. He came first, and then he moved down to my pussy. His tongue flicked my clitoris as a finger slipped into my center. "Yes! God, yes," I cried as his mouth gently sucked my clit into his mouth. I was sent over the edge. I gasped and moaned as my back arched off the bed. He moved his fingers slowly, easing me off.

I licked my lips and sighed. The bed dipped with his weight as he flopped down on the bed next to me. As my breathing slowed down, I looked over at Dante. He had his eyes closed with a content smile on his lips.

Once my breathing was normal once again, I sat up and grabbed my panties. I slipped them up over my feet and up my legs, smoothing the fabric over my rear. I reached over Dante to grab the matching bra. He sat up to watch as I finished getting dressed.

"You want me to walk you to your car?" he asked as I walked to the door. He was one step behind me.

"That's alright, Dante. I just need to grab my jacket and shoes, then I'll be on my way. Not going to get snatched." I pulled the door open and looked over my shoulder. "No one would want me. Besides, you're still naked. I don't think your neighbors would appreciate that. At least most of them."

I jogged down the stairs and walked into the living room, slipping my arms into my jacket. I pushed my feet into my shoes before turning the power off on the television. I flipped the light switch off on my way out of the living room. I looked up to see Dante standing at the bottom of the stairs with a pair of sweatpants hanging loosely from his hips. I smiled as I looked at his bare chest.

He grasped my chin in his hand, pulling me into a kiss. As I pulled back, I murmured, "Thank you." And with that, I left the house, shutting the door behind me. I heard the lock click as I made my way to my car, hopping in. Starting the car, I backed out of the driveway and sped home.
