The Birth of Nennar
In the Beginning, the One moved through the void, reshaping the shining darkness to His very whim. As his hands moved through the threads of the ether, sand flowed from his fingertips, rocks and soil following suit. A barren desert formed around Him, the twin suns, Mathis and Demer, glowing red in the sky that was still interwoven with strands of the void.
As the One moved across the new land, plants sprouted from the ground where he stepped, growing with lightening speed into beautiful trees.
His footprints became riverbeds and valleys, and mountains rose from the luscious land, the void rippling, giving part of itself to become snow, all on a lonely god's whim.
In a great sigh, the One breathed life into the land, animals and men writhing, coiling shapes forming from the earth itself.
But still it was not enough. The darkness was still there, on the very edge, and even as this new world took its first steps, the One created a space beyond the outer layers of the sky, a place of darkness blacker than the blackest midnight, full of shining points of light, millions and millions of brilliant spheres.
It was then, and only then, that the One deemed his task complete. Admiring his new creation, the One decided to call it Nennar – the land of hope.
