Authors Note: Well, people, guess what? I rewrite this thing like there's no tomorrow :D I tried to follow every suggestion the good people, especially the guys at the Roadhouse have suggested for me. Thanks, guys ; So here we are again, what a joy! *rolls eyes* Back to genesis... Bear with me again is all that I can ask...
A/N: I guarantee this thing might turn beyond PG-13 so... yeah... T just to play safe :P
A/N: And so we begin... Note the fact that this is when our heroine is born and some of the other major characters aren't gonna appear until I think the second part of this story. Part 1, you see is about the death of one of the gods and the realization of another one that if her home can't claim her for who she is... She's better off finding another one.

Just a short Mythclass (some of the stuff here are made up... don't get mad) because some people will get confused especially people who are just little acquainted to mythology. (*coughs*) The Norns are the three sisters who hold fate and the whole history of the Norse people (gods and mortals) in their hands, they spin the wheel and fix every thread in a gigantic portrait that's called life. Those three fates are called Urd (Past), Verdandi (Present) and Skuld (Future).
NOW THIS IS MADE UP:
The Order is the entity created by the Source to... well... basically bring order to our world. It made the first ancient immortals -like e.g. Uranus, The Norns, Odin's dad- that have no explanation from where they came. The Source, who happens to have a name, Athon to be exact, he is a god of destruction from Megaea (long story) he made Gaea, that we now call Earth and he created the whole foundation for it. Unfortunately, he got pissed off when he couldn't create anything else but a bunch of gigantic lizards and Viola, Extinction... Now he had a daughter, the Creatress a.k.a. the Sacred Feminine, she was just half destruction and her dad gave her Gaea as her inheritance since she left her husband. The Creatress, half a goddess of creation and the other half, pure destruction. the Ice Age? Her fault. The Destruction of the corrupted Order? hers too.
Part 1: The Youth
"We can't choose what happens but we can choose how we react to it."
Chapter 1: A Meeting With Fate
The sky was dark at the Yggdrasil tree as the three Norns waited in advance for their unwanted visit from one of the gods.
The thunder roared and shot lightning in the snowy sky. The wind howled and made the great tree bend just a little. The Spinning Wheel of time that kept track of ever Norse mortal or gods' soul kept spinning, it's attenders, the three Norns kept waiting for the god of thunder to arrive and once he did they'd get straight to the point and tell him he was screwed.
"Is he gonna arrive yet?" Skuld asked rhetorically, her gaze fixed at the door. She was still waiting for Verdandi to untangle one thread so she could fix it to the gigantic portrait of life.
"Oh, I dont know Skuldy, you're the future, I personify now and Urd is past, you should be the one to know that." Verdandi said slightly irritated.
"Like I care" Skuld snorted, "I just wanna get this over with..."
"Any time now..." Urd broke her silence and stopped spinning, right on time the door opened.
Verdandi scowled the wind was furious and carried snow... She knew she was the one who had to clean that up and she hated cleaning messes...
Thor finally entered, his face was like stone, serious right now and he tried to keep it that way, but Skuld's gloating look made him frown and try harder to surpress his anger. Still he closed the door behind him and sighed deeply.
This is gonna be a long night...
"Well, well, look who visited?" Skuld gave a mocked welcome faking a smile "What d'you want now, Thorry?"
Urd surpressed a smile, she knew Skuld loved calling Thor nicknames.
The god scowled, instead of retorting like a fool and getting punished because of it, he knew better so he remained silent. He kneeled one chunky knee and bowed solemly.
"I came here to inquire about my child." He said quietly.
"Child? Thor, you have... Ummm... What? Several children right now. One of which from a giantess, god knows where else you've been. Geez, you can have a contest with Heimdall and Zeus for all I care, try to be specific will yah? I dont wanna skim through several bastards just to know which one of them is the one you're talking about."
Skuld choked a laugh at the younger woman's outburst. Of all the Norns Skuld had to be the most unpredictable and most changeable, no wonder the Order picked her out to be the personification for future.
Thor raised his head and tried to control his temper as he spoke, "The one being born right now." his face was flushed with anger but Urd was amazed.
For once in his life, he's not letting anger get the better of him. Give Thor a blue ribbon!
"Hmmm..." Urd mused as she looked at the tangled threads in the Portrait, her hands slid through the golden ones, finally stopping at the last one, her face grew grave as she outlined the last one "What have you done?"
Thor's eyes were wide he tried to smile "What do you mean what have I done?" he asked trying to look gullible. Stupid. Stupid. This were the Norns he was in front of. He had a better chance lying he was best friends with the jotuns than he had lying to the Norns.
"Weird, and kinda kinky that you were able to have her, Thorry" Skuld gave an insolent smile.
"I didn't mean to do anything with her!" He tried to defend himself "Seriously if I knew who she was I would have been better off taking a jotun as a lover..! D'you think I'd be that stupid to sleep with her? She friggin' tricked me!"
Verdandi slapped him senseless "Better not scream that out loud Aesir, If she heard that -Which is highly likely- You'd go to Niflheim pretty early" Dandi whispered clutching his face with one hand.
He stared furiously as he got up and yanked her hand off her face. He began to pace back and fort in the narrow hall like a caged lion. Urd was silent staring still at the thread "Great. Just great. If you make her any angrier than she is Aesir, Ragnarok will visit us early." Verdandi said nothing, she was already cleaning the snow melting at the floor, it seemed like Skuld was the only one who stayed still, her eyes fixed on the god pacing before her with an amused smile stamped on her face, "My, my, my," Skuld mused "Shame we're the only ones who can see this, Imagine the god of thunder scared senseless and close to pissing himself, imagine what people would think? Thor scared of a woman? I know people who will pay good money to see this..."
Suddenly a voice from the pile of blankets scattered at the corner "Money? What Money?" Mimir yawned as he tried to wake himself from his sleep, "Dandi, get this stupid rug off my head!"
Verdandi stopped cleaning, slightly annoyed as she threw the blanket away to reveal the severed head of Mimir, one of the oldest of the jotuns and Odin's uncle. "Well, well, who came to visit? Greetings Thor, hope you still remember me." Mimir gave a spooky grin, Skuld on the other hand squeeled "Ew, Mimir! You drooled! Yuck! I'm not gonna pick that up!"
Mimir scowled turning his eyes away from his nephew, "Oh what do you expect me to do, Skuldy dearest? Pick it up? Oh I forgot where I left my body? D'you remember Skuldy? I'm a friggin head!" Mimir angrily retorted.
"Why you fuc-"
"Both of you shut up!" Verdandi yelled, her head was steaming, Urd feared a nerve was popping in Dandi's usually collected head.
"What do I do?" Thor broke out, he fell to his knees in front of Verdandi, who would have kicked him if Urd couldn't calm her, "Do you see what fate I havee coming to me?" he asked pleading. Verdandi sighed deeply, she looked at him neutrally "We don't have a clue right now. Your fate is tied directly from her reaction. I'd tell you to stop being so obnoxious and try to do something right for once."
"Great." Thor concluded "I'm doomed!"
Urd rolled her eyes, "Well, don't start crying now, Thor, I'm fed up with people losing themselves in here. Now you wanna know about the child?"
Thor's eyes lightened up. He believes he's going to achieve atleast something if he gets a son. I can see it in his eyes, well atleast his son would grow up to be a warrior...
"It's a girl." Skuld said bluntly. This time she didn't seem to gloat Thor's sudden shock. The realization hit him too hard. He was completely blank. All hope was gone.
A girl. What could he do with a girl?
"Don't pity yourself Thorry." Skuld sneered at him "She's gonna be better than a son. In fact, she'd grow up better than her father." Thor didn't seem to listen.
Great. A daughter. What could a girl do that could in any way be better than his deeds? Could she battle giants in Ragnarok? No. Could she handle his hammer, Mjolnir? Could she do anything other than make babies and weave spells. Oh wait, his daughter could bear a dozen or more sons that would grow up to be heroes. That would make her legendary indeed. He smiled in amusement at the thought.
"Please. Can we keep all of this between us? It's the only other request I can ask." Thor pleaded.
"Why would you not want anyone to know? In fact you should be damn proud." Mimir snorted.
The god sighed, "It's not like I don't want them. She'll have my head if I tell anyone about this. Especially not father, he'll kill me if he realizes I've stirred something up again."
Urd sighed as she stared at both her sisters, they nodded in agreement.
"Alright, we will not tell anyone but if Odin asks, we will tell him."
"Tell me what can my daughter do?" Thor asked, somewhat relieved that they were gonna keep it a secret.
"You tell me something." Verdandi replied quietly her face like stone, "Why is she a demigod?"
