The next few days were filled with messing around and talking.
"So we are both singing lead on this song." I said showing Janele the song I had just wrote.
"So we are going to split up the verses and sing the chorus together?" Janele asked.

The next day in school I was walking down the hall when I finally spotted Carter. I haven't seen him and I haven't addressed what Janele told me.
"Hey Carter." I said walking over to him.
I wrapped my arms around his waist before pecking his lips. "So Janele told me something interesting today." I said.
"Oh yeah and what was that?" he said stroking my cheek.
"So you're going around telling people we did the deed huh?"

"It's okay. I told Syd," I smiled. "I was about to tell Janele but she told me."

It November 17th which means it's my birthday, but more importantly it's the day we go and see the record execs. My mom is coming because she is a lawyer and the rest of the parents couldn't make it.
"Hello flawed existence. We have seen countless of your performances and heard your demo that you sent for us and we have decided to sign you." Tom McKinley one o the A&R guys said.
I squeezed Carters hand so tightly that I think he may need to go to the hospital.
"Of course your not going to become insta famous we are all gong to have to work very hard to be successful," he continued on to say. "We have got together a contract and would like you to look over it and then hopefully sign it." That's when my mom stepped in.

After we signed the contract, we went out to dinner just the band, Carter and I. once we got there everyone ordered and chatted excitedly amongst themselves.
"I'm so excited." I smiled at Carter.
"I'm excited for you too." He leaned down and pecked my lips.
"This is so amazing I wouldn't have guessed this would have happened to me in a million years."
"Happy birthday." He said handing me a small jewelry box. I opened it to find a pretty sapphire ring.
"It's a promise ring. I know that we are young but I promise that I will be there for you forever no matter what." He smiled.
"Even if you're snowed in?" I joked.
"Even if I'm snowed in." he smiled and leaned down kissing me again.
In this short amount of months, I got a great boyfriend and my dream of becoming a musician is coming true. I don't live in a fairytale where the sky is always blue and the sun always shining. I live in a flawed world where nothing is as easy as it should be. I'm not perfect nor will I ever be but I'm happy because with out the bad things I wouldn't have as much appreciation for the good. My existence is flawed and so was my deflection of Carter but look at the two great things that came out of that. Haha
