A/N: I couldn't resist putting a new story up. I know I should keep working on my other stories, but I got this idea in my head, and I just HAD to make a story out of it! So, I apologize for putting up a new story, but I hope you enjoy this one!

"I'm home!" I shouted in the vacant house to no one in particular. Carlotta was at cheerleading practice, and my mother was at the office. Ethan, well I never really know where he is. He could be at work in the morning or be lazing around the house in the afternoon.

Today, he so happened to be at home on the couch watching TV.

"Hey, Ria! How was your day?" He said and perked up when he saw me.

I was always dazzled by how handsome and gorgeous Ethan was. His soft chocolate brown and striking azure eyes were to die for. The way his muscles are so… well, muscular. But his personality is even better than his gorgeous looks. Ethan is possibly the sweetest man on Earth. When I'm upset or down, he will always cheer me up and keep a smile on my face while comforting me at the same time. Ethan can make me laugh anytime, any day. His jokes are hilarious, yet sort of childish. But that's what's great about him.

Ethan looked even sexier today. His hair was all messy and tousled, but it made him look well, hot. Ethan's collared shirt was unbuttoned halfway showing his six-pack that I always secretly drooled over. Don't get me started on when he's working out (yes, I do spy on him secretly).

No, no I really don't.

I mean it.

I really do.

I mean I don't!

Gah.

"Ria? Hello? You there?" Ethan questioned and waved his hands in front of me making me jump.

I blushed crimson red since our faces were just inches apart from each other. I immediately looked down at his lips and they looked oh, so soft. If only I could place my own lips on his …

No! I cannot think, or even consider, these explicit thoughts!

I mentally started slapping my head, but ended up actually doing it, earning strange looks from Ethan.

"Ahem," I cleared my throat and backed a few inches away from Ethan.

"Hey, look who's back!" Ethan teased and grinned happily.

"Sorry, I was uh… thinking." Hey, at least I wasn't lying!

"I could tell." He chuckled and placed an arm around my shoulders.

Oh my, here come the goose bumps.

"Um, yeah. I should start on my homework now." I said slowly, attempting to escape under his arm, but failed.

"But I want you to stay." Ethan whined like a little child and gave me the puppy dog look that always made me give in.

I looked away so I wouldn't look at this undeniable face.

"Sorry Ethan, but I really want to start on my homework." I dragged out the 'really' like Ethan dragged out the 'stay' in his sentence. I was secretly grinning like a little girl getting a Barbie doll for her birthday.

"Fine," Ethan said in a cheerless voice. "But first you have to give me a kiss."

My eyes bulged at the moment, and my heart started racing wildly. Did my ears deceive me? Did he say he wanted me to give him a kiss? A kiss. No way. I must be hallucinating because of his hotness.

I. Must. Get. Away.

"I'll give you one later! So, I really have to go now!" I feel like I am talking to a child that wants me to give him some candy and is attaching himself to me, so I couldn't escape.

"One kiss," Ethan begged with a childish voice and dragged out the words again.

I sighed, feeling defeated. "Fine. Where?"

"The cheek!" He chirped and had a grin the size of the moon while pointing to his cheek.

I gulped and carefully inched my lips towards his cheek. I gave him a quick peck and was blushing again.

"Okay! I did it! Now, bye!" I sprinted up the stairs without another look at him and slammed my door shut.

I breathed heavily putting a hand on my exhilarating heart. Thump. Thump. Thump.

I swore I saw a smirk on Ethan's face after the kiss.

"Kaylee! Can you stop with the unnecessary and stupid jokes and comments? And that is just gross!" I said angrily, though my face was blushing crimson, again. I blush whenever when someone mentioned Ethan, or just seeing Ethan himself.

"But you know you can't deny the love between you two." I could tell Kaylee was secretly planning out our honeymoon over the phone and rolled my eyes.

"Shut up. I swear I don't know why you're my best friend sometimes."

"Because you love me!" She chirped happily and added, "Just like you love Ethan."

"No, I don't. And besides, he loves someone else…" I whispered gloomily.

"Psh, who cares about your mother? You can beat her in the competition of winning Ethan!"

"Okay, I am now going to hang up on your ass." I said bitterly, but was quickly answered by a thunderous 'nooo!'

"Okay, okay I'll stop I swear! Please don't hang up on me Ria! Then I'll have to work on my dam- uh, I mean dang, English essay! Please, please, please, please, please!" Kaylee begged obnoxiously like a bee buzzing in your ear.

I sighed. "Fine. Did you lie to your dad again by claiming you're 'tutoring' me over the phone, so that's why you take so long on the phone? Also, didn't you soundproof your walls too, so he doesn't hear what you're saying?"

"You know me so well," Kaylee laughed merrily, and I smiled. Kaylee is such a joyful, optimistic person. Nothing, and I mean nothing, unless it is extremely hurtful, can pierce through that thick, gleeful layer of happy inside that petite body.

"I guess I do," I said and sighed. "So, word on the street is you and Nate broke up, eh? Why didn't you tell me?"

Kaylee rant in 3, 2, 1 …

"Oh my gosh, that is so not true! Well it kind of is, but it kinda isn't you know? Okay, so Nate and I were talking and chatting and flirting and stuff, but then Emma walked by and was showing off her slutty self as usual and Nate was all staring at her with googly eyes while I was talking to him and I was like "Uh, excuse me? Over here babe!" but like he wouldn't listen! Then I got all mad and stuff, so I yelled really angrily at him, which caused some rude strangers to look our way, so then-" Then she went on and on when she finally finished.

"So that's how people spread f'in rumors about me! How could you believe those rumors?" Kaylee whimpered.

"I didn't! I'm just making sure if it's true or not, hon." I said, pleading my case.

"Sure," Insert the famous Kaylee eye roll.

"I mean it!" I said and heard a loud, boisterous noise from the other line.

"Okay, okay! Hold on for one minute daddy!" I heard Kaylee shout. "Ugh, my dad wants me to go downstairs and wash the dishes. I think he's kind of suspicious about me, uh, 'tutoring' you."

"Yeah, well, you aren't really the, um, 'type' to tutor people, Kay." I said in the nicest way possible.

"Are you calling me dumb?" Kaylee scoffed.

"No…" I said slowly and smirked.

"Ria- Dad! How did you get in here? Please, please wait one more second daddy!" I heard an angry voice respond to Kaylee who was presumably her dad. "What? I am telling the truth! Why don't you believe me? Are you accusing me of lying? What kind of father are you! I would never, ever lie to your face! … Okay, okay! I'm not really tutoring anyone in Pre Calculus okay? Happy now, daddy? What?! I'm grounded! Daddy, daddy please! No, no!"

I heard a shriek, and the phone line went dead.

I walked onto school campus early that morning as usual and strolled slowly towards my first class. Loud clacks were trailing behind me, and I turned around to see Kaylee rushing towards me.

"I am so, so, so sorry about last night! My dad came in my room and started yelling at me, so I tried to defen-"

"Kaylee, don't worry you don't need to apologize or explain. I pretty much heard the whole thing apart from the end when your dad, or you, turned off the phone." I replied.

Kaylee sighed and pouted her lips. "I can't believe my daddy accused me of lying."

"But you were lying." I pointed out.

"Whatever!" Kaylee exclaimed and flipped her hair over her shoulder.

As we walked down the halls of Breighton High School, Kaylee exchanged greetings to many students I barely even knew. I guess you could say Kaylee was popular and well known, but definitely not mean, insulting, or slutty. That prize goes to the 'mean girls', as some refer to them as, or the popular wannabes.

I, on the other hand, was a mix between a loner and 'average', I guess. I don't have very many friends, actually only two real ones, but I was just fine with that. I am perfectly fine with the way I am.

"Jeremy!" Kaylee squealed and scurried towards the brown haired, green eyes, six foot tall guy.

She flung herself into Jeremy's arms, and he laughed a gentle, soft chuckle. I felt a tinge of jealousy in my body when I saw the perfect Kodak moment between the two of them. Kaylee was amazingly beautiful, one of the most beautiful girls at Breighton High School, and Jeremy was a guy to die for. They were absolutely perfect, even though they weren't even together.

I trailed behind slowly, not wanting to interrupt something, and Jeremy's eyes met mine. I gave him a warm smile, and he returned one too.

I was the only one who knew Jeremy had a huge crush on Kaylee. Ever since we all became best friends in third grade, he's always had a crush on her. Kaylee on the other hand, was always too blind to notice.

"Hey, Victoria!" Jeremy greeted and gave me a wide, toothy smile. He is also the only one who calls me Victoria, instead of Ria. I didn't mind when he called me by my real name, but I get annoyed when someone else does.

"Hey," I said and smiled back.

Jeremy untangled himself from Kaylee and chuckled when she got all gloomy.

"Jeremy," She whined and pouted her lips, hanging onto his arm.

"Kaylee," Jeremy said in the same tone.

"Ria," I mocked teasingly. They both stuck their tongues at me.

We began walking down the halls and chatting about random things that came to mind.

"So, was there anymore 'moments' with hot E-" Kaylee began, and I whacked her in the stomach before she could continue.

"Moments with who?" Jeremy asked, staring at me. Kaylee was the only one I talked to about Ethan and my 'moments', as Kaylee refers to them as, with him. It would just be too awkward to tell Jeremy.

"My, uh, cat." I said.

"You don't have a cat."

"Yes, I do."

"No, you don't."

"Yes I do!"

"No you don't!"

"Shut up!" I finished off and crossed my arms stubbornly.

"So," Jeremy said, boredom drenching his voice during our lunch together.

"So." I repeated after him and played around with my food.

"How's… Ethan?" He asked, and my face immediately started heating up.

"Fine. Why?" I muttered, staring down at my unappetizing lunch.

"I don't know, just asking." Jeremy said and shrugged, glancing at me with the corner of his eye skeptically.

I didn't reply and just kept moving around the food on my tray, waiting for my face to cool down.

"Hey, look." Jeremy said and nodded towards the direction he wanted me to look.

I turned around and of course the 'mean girls' came in the cafeteria. The mean girls consisted of Dana, Elizabeth, Emma, and my very own sister, Carlotta. They thought they ruled the school, but in reality everybody, well mostly everybody, hated them. The problem? This group of trashy girls scared the living hell out of everyone, so practically everyone bowed down to them and let them walk all over everybody. Sad isn't it? I know.

"Move," Dana, the leader of them all and the Queen Bee, or the Queen Bitch, commanded a group of girls sitting at a table. They all gathered up their stuff and scurried away quickly without saying a word. All of the girls cackled obnoxiously, until Dana demanded them to stop.

Almost immediately, boys came flocking all around them. I rolled my eyes in disgust; it was middle school all over again.

"Ugh, they make me sick." I said in disgust when I turned back around.

Jeremy nodded in agreement silently and stared past me again.

"What is it now?" I asked, but was automatically interrupted by an annoying, high-pitched voice.

"Victoria," Carlotta addressed me in an uninterested tone from behind.

I turned around and was faced with my towering five foot eight model sister.

"What do you want Carlotta?" I gritted my teeth, annoyed by the fact she called me Victoria and also by the fact she was even talking to me.

"You're like friends with that uh, loser right?" Carlotta said ignorantly.

"Huh, which one would that be since you always address my friends as losers?" I stated.

My devil of a sister cackled annoyingly and flipped her golden hair. She smirked and said, "So true. Anyways, that loser... hm, what's her damn name? Oh, it's like Kaylu? No, Kaylo. Well, I know it's some stupid name anyway."

"It's Kaylee." Jeremy muttered, but Carlotta was admiring her manicure to even bother to listen.

"It's Kaylee," I repeated more loudly, aggravated by her ignorance.

"Gosh Victoria, you're like so annoying and loud you sound like a chimpanzee." Carlotta rolled her eyes and flipped her hair again.

"At least I don't sound like a hyena and mouse mixed together." I fired back.

Carlotta looked at me blankly. "What the hell are you talking about? Did you just insult me?"

"No, not at all your highness." I replied sarcastically.

"Good, bitch." Carlotta sneered, and I rolled my eyes.

"What do you want for the millionth time?" I demanded in my calmest voice.

"Tell whatever her name, Kaylu, to get her ass to cheerleading practice. Not like she's important to the team anyways." She laughed and strutted back to her table.

"I. Hate. Her." I stated when Carlotta was gone and stabbed my sandwich on the lunch tray.

"No you don't." Jeremy said calmly, watching me. I looked up, shocked and fuming, ready to rant.

"Are you kidding me? I hate Carlotta, I hate Carlotta, I f'ing hate her. She's not even worthy of being called a human. She's as worse as Dana. I hate, hate her. I have to put up with that obnoxious, despicable, disgraceful thing every single day." I was about to go on before Jeremy interrupted me.

"No, you don't." He repeated and continued to stare at me intensely. I crossed my arms and glared daggers at his damn head.

The bell rang before I could fire some insult at him and I trudged off without saying a goodbye to him. Serves him right.

"Hey girl," Kaylee greeted and winked at me before giving me an air kiss when she entered our class together.

"Hey, Kay." I replied back and smiled.

Almost immediately after she sat down, Kaylee whisked around in her seat and laid her head on her arms on my desk.

"What's wrong Kay? You seem gloomy." I acknowledged.

She raised her head off from my desk and had a heartbreaking expression on her delicate face.

"Nate broke up with me!" Kaylee cried and threw her arms around me.

"What? Why?" I asked the poor girl, soothing her while ongoing lookers stared at the two of us.

"Because I'm a horrible, horrible bitch." She whimpered.

"Where in the hell did you get that from?" I inquired and pulled her away from me, putting my hands on her shoulders.

"F-From, f-from-" Kaylee stammered.

"Spit it out girl!" I demanded angrily, getting impatient.

"From NATE!" She bawled thunderously and hid her face in her arms. Fire raged inside of me, and I wanted to beat that asshole up right now.

"What?!" I yelled, once the teacher came in.

"Girls, I could hear you all the way down the hall." He said angrily, and I sunk down in my seat embarrassingly.

"Sorry, Mr. Cremshaw." We both muttered, and he huffed angrily.

I slowly walked into my house after a dreadful day of school and looked around warily. No Ethan. Thank God.

I sighed, clambering up the stairs like an idiot while murmuring a song stuck in my head. Before I could enter my room, I heard some rowdy noises coming from down the hall. I gasped. A burglar?

My hands fumbled around with the doorknob of my room, and I quickly grabbed the first thing I saw, a flower vase already filled with water and flowers. I sprinted down the hall and pressed my ear against the entrance of the room my burglar was in. He was definitely in there doing something.

My family and I were somewhat 'wealthy', not that I dress that way, thus making our house be a little 'bigger' than others, so it wasn't a surprise someone would be robbing us.

I grasped the flower vase with my arm and cautiously turned the doorknob. The noise of my perpetrator, or shall I say perpetrators, suddenly stopped, and he/they must've figured out I was right outside this door. I heard muffled voices, and there must be more than one burglar here.

I smirked. Jackpot.

I swiftly opened the door of the room and cried, "FREEZE!" right before launching the flower vase into thin air, aiming at the intruders.

My eyes found their way open, and I immediately gasped.

"Mom? Ethan?!" I shrieked, and they were both in the middle of 'fooling around' if it wasn't for me. My eyes found the vase, and I gasped once more. It was heading straight towards Ethan!

"VICTORIA ANN CAMBRIA!" My mother roared, but my attention was focused on the vase, and the terrified look on Ethan's face.

It all happened as if it was in slow motion. The vase cracking open, water pouring out, glass shattering all over the bed, and blood escaping out of a certain someone's forehead.

I am in such deep shit.
