I hope you like this new short story that just came up in my mind. I hope you like what you read! R&R
Prologue: Guess Who's Back
Introduction:
What a cookie cutter neighborhood, Blair thought as she rubbed at her arm. She could hear the gossip now. Yea, well she wasn't so happy to be back ether. Caleb Hunter looked out his window and saw her, the one girl he never wanted to see again was unpacking her car. Fuck if he wanted to help her, there would never be a welcome home party held here. He shut his drapes.
Blair couldn't find the reason she thought she could tough it up here. She couldn't find the will to pick up another box and carry it back into the home she never wanted to come back to. Then she remembered that It was never her idea to come back in the first place. That no one ever asked her what she wanted and no one ever will. So she dropped each box on the ground with more force than necessary.
"Do you want some help?" Her dad asked her.
"Not from you" She replied with almost a laugh at the edge of her words. She didn't mean to sound so rude but what did he expect. 'Sure dad, after shipping me off and then wrenching me back, I'd love for you to help me with just, this one box'. She's rather run head first off a mountain.
Blair slammed the trunk of her car closed. It was rusty and beaten up. She only needed a few more hundreds to purchase that Ford Taurus she wanted and throw this piece of crap to the dust. It's not exactly what she wanted but it was what she could afford with out asking her dad for help. She would never hear the end of that.
Still looming by the door she decided to irritate him.
"What do you want?" She asked picking up the first box near her feet. Adrian still looked the same way he always did. If even just a little more softer on the edges after all that's happened the last couple of years. Soft brown skin the same as hers, wrinkled on the eye's though she didn't think they laughed anymore.
"You know, no one ever wanted you to leave. We just thought it was best for you" he told her. "You have no idea how sad I was when I found out that Ari-" I stopped him.
"Well that's why I'm back, let's just get over it already" I pushed past him into the house. Even though I told him not to he still went outside for the rest of my stuff. I let him be, I knew he just wanted to help even if it got suffocating. She didn't think about it as she changed all the drapes in her room and all the colorful things that where once Blair King turned from yellow and blue, to red and black. It was saying how she felt right about now.
Her house phone was ringing.
"I'll get it!" She yelled. She ran down the stairs and rushed to pick up the phone. "You've reached the secretary for hell"
"Go back to where ever you were before. No one wants you back here bitch, after-" She hung up the phone. Well it didn't take them that long to show her their love. Blair wouldn't let them have the best of her this time. She'd be damned if they run her out of town again.
"Who was it?" Adrian asked from the kitchen.
"Just one of my hate calls!" she yelled over to him. No need to hide them. He got the worst of it a long time ago when he wouldn't let her answer the phones anymore because it had gotten so bad she stayed in her room.
When she was done she left to breath alone in her room. Adrian would never tell her how he could see her face drop every time she answered the phone, because as much as she didn't want anyone to know he knew. He knew that each time she ran for the phone she couldn't help but hope maybe he'd call. He wouldn't though, even he knew it.
This will be a short story unless along the way it involves into something other than what I expected. This story will be about misunderstanding's and allowing your happiness to belong to someone. This idea just sort of sprung up while thinking of idea's. Leave me A review and tell me what you think and if I should continue.
R&R makes me rush to update. If I get enough it's be up in a fortnight.
