Hey guys I am currently writing the story "It Started With A Dream" but I got a little writers block and this idea sorta popped into my head so I thought I would write it and post it. Anyway hope you enjoy
xXx
It was the 20th of December and there was think snow on the ground. There was crunching on the snow but it was not the sound of a human walking, it was as though something on four legs was running and fast. In the distant a dark coloured object was moving closer and closer to the housing estate. The estate consisted of a few houses, these houses were not overlarge but they could be considered big. Not many people came in to this estate as behind the houses there was a forest. There was rumors that within the forest mythical creatures such as werewolves and vampires roamed.
The object got closed and closer, it was coming closer toward the back of houses coming out of the forest. With on giant leap the creature landed right outside the middle houses back door. The creature had long shaggy black fur and took great resemblance to a wolf, if one was to see the creature from a distant that's what they would think, a wolf. But up close you could see the different in size. This creature was bigger than a wolf not by much but it was noticeable. The giant wolf had silvery/gray paws, making the wolf look like it wore socks. The eyes of the wolf were unique too, it had green eyes apposed to the amber colour that a normal creature would have.
The wolf surveyed its surroundings making the cost was clear of humans before the began to change, the fur began to retract and get shorter and shorter until there was only smooth skin in its place. The back legs of the wolf grew long until they were long tanned legs, the front legs only changed slightly by growing just abut longer and the paws turning to hands. When the once before wolf stood a female human took its place. She had dark brown hair that reached just lower than her breasts which were fully exposed as she bore no clothes. The only way to tell that she was once the same wolf that appeared just before was because they shared the same green eyes that one could fear or become lost in. She strode in to the back door that lead in to the house happy that she thought no one had saw her transform.
xXx
He could smell her. As she approached closer and closer to the house her scent became stronger. A smirk appeared on his face, this smell had been stuck in his memory since he had hit puberty. The smell was that of watermelon, he could no go near a watermelon without thoughts and images of her appearing in to his mind. He moved the curtain on his window which over looked the forest and the back door of all of the houses. He kept watch waiting for her to arrive, after 2 minutes of waiting the smell was so strong it was like she was there with him. He saw her in her wolf from leap from the wood and appear at her door that was 3 houses down. She mustn't of seen him looking at her as she began to change in to her human form, when he saw that she began to change he closed the curtain He did not want to see his future mate naked before he was ready to claim her. Although the action of re-opening the curtain and to stare at her was power his promise to himself was greater. With his hearing he heard the door of her house close and knew that she was within the walls of her house.
He would not claim her as his until he was sure he could handle it. When wolves had mates it allowed them talk to each other telepathically and see each others thoughts. Was he ready for that? To allow her to see all his thoughts? Was he ready to see her? No he wasn't, not yet anyway. The wolf within him disagreed with the idea and thinks that he should claim her right now. As soon as she was 16 he should of gone over there and took her as his. He mostly agreed with his wolf but he wanted to wait until he could handle everything and he could work up the courage to tell her that she was his.

After her late night run Lyra felt refreshed when she awoke in the morning. It was only possible for her to run late at night as in the morning it was more likely for her to be seen by the people of the town. Everyone within the estate she lived in were werewolf's. But outside the estate they were all humans which are oblivious to their existence, sure the humans had heard rumors about werewolves but non of them really believed it. The humans dared no come into the estate in case these rumors were true, even the postman wouldn't come in to the estate so each house had its postbox at the end of the street. Lyra turned to her side and looked at her alarm it read 7:45, she would have to get up and dressed if she wanted to catch the bus to school. Even thought she could run much faster than the bus she wanted to blend in and took the bus.
"Lyra! Are you up yet?!" The voice of her mothers floated up the stairs, to humans it would seem as though her mother was simply talking but to Lyra is a yell, a very loud one according to her hearing.
"Yes mama I'm awake, just about to get showered." Lyra replied. With that said she padded to her on suite bathroom that held a shower sink and toilet, not the biggest bathroom but it was all the essentials she needed. She stripped of her shorts that reviled most of her legs and the small t-shirt that stopped just above her belly button. When her bed clothes were removed she hoped in to the shower.
The Lyra the water was warm and refreshing not overly hot but just perfect. If a human were to get into the shower with her they could complain of the cold and ask for more heat Lyra was permanently warm as all werewolves were. The smell of pancakes and bacon drafted under Lyra nose. She jumped out the shower, sped through her room and was downstairs dressed within 5 seconds.
"Mama this smells delicious." Lyra commented as she grabbed a handful of bacon and a a few layers pancakes.
"Lyra leave some food for your brother, you know he will only complain is he does not get as much as you."
"I know mama but he should be up and ready if he wants enough food." Lyra stated with her mouth full of food.
"Lyra! At least leave me some bacon will you?" her brothers voice was heard from the seat opposite her. "take as many pancakes as you want, but leave the meat." Her brother said as he picked up the remaining bacon and dumped it onto his plate. Her Brother was much taller than her and a lot more muscular. Where Lyra had green eyes and dark brown hair, her brother was different he had light brown hair and blue eyes. People could tell they were related as they both had similarities as they both resembled their mother and had their fathers pride and stubbornness, if either one of them was dared to do anything they could not say no they had to complete the challenge and win.
"Hey buddy, you need to stop eating all the meat. You're starting to look a bit... round." she looked her brother up and down and nodded her head in agreement with herself.
Luke let out a low growl towards his sister. Lyra knew that mentioning her brother's weight was a touchy subject but she enjoyed annoying him. They did not have time to settle things the normal way which was to transform in to wolfs and fight in the woods. They had to go and catch the bus for school, in which they were reminded of by their mother. "Now, now children stop bickering and get ready for the bus."
Both teens raced up the stairs in record time and came back down dressed with school bags. They ran out the front door and what appeared to be normal speed to human but to a wolf it seemed as though everything were slow. "We are so going to settle this when school is over" Luke told to her Lyra just smirked and looked up at her brother. Before she could make eye contact with her brother her eyes landed upon Nate, he was the guy that every girl wanted. He was tall with broad shoulders, you could tell he had the body of a god just by the way his t-shirt clung to him. He lived three doors down from her. Lyra had, had a crush on him since well forever. Lyra only noticed that she had been staring at him for sometime now when a pair a dark blue eyes clashed with hers, she turned her head away from him to look at her brother only to find that he was at the end of the estate. Where had the time gone? Surely she couldn't have been staring for that long. Whilst she was thinking about this, she neglected to notice the male body that had appeared at her side.
"Wanna ride with me?" His whispered in to her ear, Lyra's body stiffened. When did he get there? She turned to look up at him only to find him closer than she had anticipated. If she moved any closer to him she could be within his arms kissing him. The wolf within her purred at the thought of being that close to him.
xXx
Nate didn't know why but he thought that he should get up early, something was telling him that by doing so he could do something of importance. He turned to his alarm clock and saw that the time read 7:50, he could always go to school early he supposed. He moved from the bed room and padded down the hallway into the bathroom
After a quick shower he put on some clean clothes he wandered downstairs and made himself some cereal. After breakfast he washed his bowl grabbed his keys and left. As he walked out the house he caught her sent straight away, he tried not to look at her, he did not want to make his attraction obvious just yet. His inner instincts got the better of him and he looked at her, what made it worse was that she was staring right at him he could control him self he moved with great speed towards her. When he was close enough to her he bent his head and whispered "Wanna ride with me?" She turned towards him and gasped a little at there closeness, god he wanted to gather her in his arms and kiss her senseless.
The smell of her caused him to look at her neck, just one bite and she would be his. She moved her hair behind her ear out of a nervous habit; this gave Nate a view of her clear shoulder. The need to bite her became more and more powerful as the area in which he plans to claim her. Wait, how long have they been standing like this?
He looked back up to her face and caught her staring at him "So are you coming to school with me?" the question didn't see to fully faze her as it took a moment to reply.
"What?.. Oh yeah erm I'll just go tell my brother I'm going with you." with that she turned quickly and ran to her brother not even bothering to slow down her speed to look 'normal'. He watched the conversation between her and Luke, Luke looked towards him and then back to his sister. The next thing Nate knew Lyra was back in front of him smiling nervously. "OK let's go before we're late." Nate nodded at her and turned to walk to his bike.
xXx
Lyra looked uncomfortable; she had never been on a bike before. But the thought of being on one sent a thrilling shiver through her, or was it the thought of being so close to Nate? She looked at him expectantly. "A helmet." She said not lifting her gaze from the metallic black bike in front of her. It had a single blue stripe down the length of the bike. Near the tail of the bike the blue strip was met with the image of a blue silhouette of a running wolf. "Nice bike" she commented, he grinned at her before he mounted the bike, he turned to face and letting her know it was ok fir her to get on now.
Her arms held on to his hips, as soon as her hands made a connection with him a sudden heat spread through her hands and up her arms. She was about to retract her hands but decided against it when the engine gave a load roar. She looked up from where her hands lay and peered over his shoulder, they began to move at slow speed until the arrived at the end of the estate. He stopped at the junction and Lyra saw her brother still waiting for the bus, she waved at him as he gawked at her, suddenly the bike jolted forward and they were whizzing through the streets. She clung onto him tighter frightened to fall off, as she could see her face she could see the grin that appeared on his face as she held on tighter.
When they arrived at the school he got a bike space right at the front of the entrance. Everyone was looking at them as usual; they only got stared at them because everyone who came from their estate was well… gorgeous.
There was no fat on any of their bodies, they had smooth skin with no spots. All were really good at sports and had very impressive grades. Another reason for them to be looked at was not just their looks. The kids from the estate only hung around with kids from the estate, not all of them together but they were off in groups. At lunch time all would sit close together may a table apart or all sit on one table.
Today Lyra and Nate were getting stared at for a completely different reason. In all the years they had been at the school never once had they shown up to school together?. It was not uncommon to see them in the same group but inside of the school grounds they had never said more than a hello to each other. They hung out in completely different groups. Nate hung out with the boys that lived on the estate but also played football, and Lyra well she hung out with well… no one. Lyra was the type of girl that spent her spare time in the library doing work or just reading, you could find her every now and then on the track running laps.
To see the two of them appear at school together had the student talking and spreading rumors within 5 minutes, it wasn't uncommon for the mortals or the immortals of the school to find Nate attractive he was practically Mr. Popularity, except he didn't hang out with anyone who was human.
"Thanks for the ride Nate." Lyra said once she stepped of the bike and removed her helmet.
"It was no problem if you want you can ride with me everyday, that's only if you want to?" Nate asked, he really wanted her to say yes, but he also hoping for a no. Not because he didn't like her just the opposite when her hands touched his hips, there was a fire in him, he couldn't image what her touch would feel like with no material in the way. He hoped she said yes because she was his future mate and he should do this to be close to her, get to know her and protect her.
"Yeah I think that would be great." She couldn't hide the excitement from her voice, when realized that she had got over excited she blushed and trusted the helmet towards Nate. "Here's your helmet back. I have to get going."
He reached for the helmet, when he grabbed it his hands covered Lyra's. Where their skins touched a heat the felt like it could melt to helmet to liquid within a second seared through their bodies. The helmet crashed to the ground as both of the wolves removed their hands to be free of the sensation. They looked at each other and neither one could look away, both had a confused look on their face as to say 'What the hell was that?' Neither of them said the question but each understood what the other was saying.
Snapping out the gaze Lyra quickly turned and walked away to class. She pushed through the building doors and rounded the first corridor to her class. One she was sure no on would see her she leaned her back against the wall and started to take deep breaths. Her heart was pounding in her chest a rush of blood made its way through her body so fast she was positive the whole of her being was glowing red. When her breathing had calmed down she entered the class room and took her usual seat at the back. For the first time since she had been in this school she was looking forward to lunch a lot more than usual.
