Gold Coast Winter
.
The leaves blow in the ocean breeze
The sun shines without respite
And the birds chorus from the trees
At every mornings light
The cold bites with tender teeth
And the waves crash and boom
As the plants curl to the ground beneath
Whilst Eucalyptus loom
And clouds scuttle across clear skies
Till weeping days the heaven's cry
To leave a marshy soup
But mostly here the sun shines strong
And plants and birds stand free
To show that in the winter
That the Gold Coast is the place to be.
