This idea's been floating in my head awhile. It gets better. ;) Based of a sorta true story. I flipped some things around, and added tons of stuff. It also kinda has the same qualities as 13 Reasons Why. I didn't do it intentionally. I also do not own that book.
Hope you enjoy!
A 16-year-old boy sat on his bed, head down reading the label on the mailing packet. It was thick, the yellowish brown color. Other than his address, written small and tight in the corner, one word printed in the middle.
Will.
Will wasn't expecting anything. In fact, everyone seemed to know to leave him alone to sit in self-pity for the past week. He cautiously opened it.
Letters spilled out all over his bed. Folded neatly into little squares, and labeled with numbers. He picked up the one that said (1), opened it, and read;
Dear Will,
I'm writing a letter to you, because I can't say this in person. I think this would be the best way, without making a fool of myself. Somehow, I'll make sure you get these.
I promised myself I wouldn't fall in love. And I intend to keep that promise. I never said anything about getting to know a guy, and I decided it'd be amazing to get to know you. You seem to be that funny charming type. The type every girl falls for. But I won't be every girl. I promise. ... I make a lot of promises. But they're not empty. Never have been, never will.
Sorry this letter is so short, Will. But I haven't much to say.
It is only the first day of school.
~Ann
Will's breath caught. This couldn't be happening.
Yeah.
