Chapter 6 - Room Sharing
Aryan's POV
"Rose... uh... are you coming tomorrow? Call me back. Please. I'm turning Emo here" I told the voice mail recorder. I called my friends and no one answered me. I wonder what they're doing. Most probably Rachelle's having fun at Luis's place. I surely wish she'd call me and tell me that she's inviting me there. My phone rang. Hmm... who could this be? I checked the caller. It was Rachelle.
"Hello?" I answered. I'm not quite sure whether I should be pleased or not.
"Hi Aryan... Do you mind, like, going here right now?" she asked. Gosh, so soon? I'll pass. It's about 10:00 anyways.
"I'll pass. It's getting quite late." I said.
"Hmm... Tomorrow, are you free?" she asked. Why the hell is she asking me questions? Arrgh... I'm so liking this feeling.
"Yeah... why?" I asked her.
"Cool. See you at Mcdonald's again. Xoxo... Same place by the way" she said and hung up on me.
"Wait..." C'mon I haven't even said yes. I lied down on the bed. This... is... not happening. I closed my eyes for a while but instead I fell asleep.
Sometime late that night...
Luis's POV
"Hey! uh... Mishuru-neechan, where's Ms. Aryan's house?" I asked innocently. She was reading a book by my desk. We had to share a room. Since, my brother is such an $$hole and doesn't want here there. I was using my laptop to trace down Ms. Aryan's house for quite sometime now.
"Somewhere, in... uh... Cavite..." she replied still engrossed in the book. "Why the hell didn't Romeo check for a pulse anyway?" I laughed at her and she looked at me, holding the book with her right hand and asked, "What?"
"Haven't it ever occurred to you that Shakespeare is not a Scientist?" I asked still laughing.
"No, but anyways who cares. By the way... don't you have a GPRS?" she wondered.
"I don't but my car has." I said. She returned to reading and the room was silent once again. I closed my laptop and hid it in my closet. I opened the door.
"Can I come?" Mishuru-neechan asked. She was standing already. Her clothes already changed. I nodded. We went downstairs.
"Get in the car and wait for me there. Try not to touch anything. Onigaishimasu" I told her. I went to the key hanger and got my car key. I went to the kitchen and drank some water and went to the car. I turned on the engine and quickly drove towards her house. We were silent until...
"Oops... I forgot to open the GPRS." I said. She looked at me and said, "Don't tell me we're lost."
"Uh... not much." We pulled over on the side of the road. I opened the GPRS.
"Simmons, Aryan Lei's house... please." I said. The GPRS showed different maps until it stopped on one. It seems not too far from here. I drove fast again.
"Do you really drive like this?" she asked.
"No, I drive faster than this." I said. I drifted round the bend. I can clearly see the village's arc already. Rainbow Connection it says. Nice village name hehehe. I didn't realize I chuckled out loud. Mishuru closed her eyes and leaned onto the door's side.
15 minutes later...
I nudged Mishuru three times. She opened her eyes slowly.
"We're here in front of her house... onee-chan" I said.
"Mmm..." she said. "really?" She looked around and hopped off the car. She looked at the biggest house with a crest in front of it. "This must be her house" An eye... what kind of a crest is that?
"Seeker..." I mumbled while looking at the ground. Mishuru must've heard it but she gave no sign of it. She was about to knock but I held her hand to stop her.
"Uh... maybe we shouldn't" I told her. I looked around and stared at the house behind us. "Maybe we should climb there." I pointed to the roof of the house. I looked at her and she nodded. Haai... this is going to be so troublesome. We jumped up to the roof as fast we can.
Aryan's POV
Sometime midnight...
I rubbed my eyes slowly. Did I fall asleep? I checked the time it's midnight. I shouldn't have slept. I sat on my bed and focused my chakra. There were three knocks on my door.
"Hey! Sis? Uh... I'm going to sleep. It's your turn to guard the house. Oyasuminasai" Ericka said. I heard her footsteps sound fainter and a door closing. Most probably she went to bed already. I continued focusing my chakra when I felt it. Two pairs of eyes watching. I walked to the window and used my Byakugan... So it seems. Luis and... Rachelle? I pulled the curtain sideways. No one's... there.
