"...Oh." The woman had a strange look in her eyes as she watched the man get ready to go about his business. "But what about the Training Seminar? It'd be a huge help if you could attend."

The man paused at pulling up his trousers. He had been in the middle of getting dressed when the woman had walked in. It didn't bother him that she watched. "As much as I'd love 'ta I've got more...pressing...matters to attend to," he hesitated before adding a, "Darling," to the end of it as he pulled up his trousers and buttoned them. He glanced at her and gave her a wicked grin that got even wider when her cheeks turned a deep crimson. It didn't matter that the blush was followed by a hot temper.

"I take it all back. I'm glad you aren't coming. You, you...oaf."

She then proceeded to storm out of the room. The man counted himself lucky. The last time she threw a rather sharp object at him that nearly made him a she. But an oaf? He was too sexy to be an oaf. The nerve of that woman. How dare she? And how dare he for thinking about a stupid comment so much.

He scrunched his eyes together and took a deep breath. He wasn't overly excited about his current agenda. He almost wished he could go to the Training Seminar but this was more important than that. It really was, to him, anyways. He pushed it out of his mind so that he could finish getting dressed. He put on a rather dashing lavender shirt and a dark purple jacket. The man turned up his nose as he squished his feet into a pair of black boots and laced them up. They only came in black and despite the fact that he was a man he preferred the color purple as it matched the natural purply color of his hair. It really wasn't of much importance but to Jarinn, that was his name, every little detail counted, so it really did matter. If he missed a detail things could go horribly wrong whether due to something as small as fashion to a life changing event. He didn't want to worry about those.

Senna woke up in a rush and blinked away the remnants of sleep. She stretched out her arms in an effort to get rid of the cramps from sleeping on the ground. It took her a moment to notice that Cheion was missing. "Che?" She spoke in a low voice but there was no reply. This was odd. He never just disappeared. There wasn't even a whisper of his whereabouts.

That's when she heard the high-pitched scream. It reminded her of the one from her dream but it was different and this one belonged to a child. Senna remained frozen for what seemed like an eternity before her wits returned to her and she stood upright. All thought processes ceased and she ran towards the sound. It didn't matter that she was hardly dressed or that she didn't know what to expect. She simply reacted.

There was a thump as a body hit the forest floor. It was that same child who let out the scream that had gotten Senna's attention in the first place. The child wasn't alone either. There was an older man and woman who looked to have nearly lost their heads, literally. Yet it wasn't them that demanded attention despite their gruesome deaths. It was the child. The child's hair was a bright white that stood in contrast to his tanned skin. His skin lacked the softness of a child and veins that should have been blue ran black.

"See somethin' ya like?" A voice whispered into her ear.

Senna lurched forward in surprise and tripped so that she was face to face with the child's glassy stare. The voice behind her simply laughed.

Jarinn walked slowly through the forest. The humans at the Village nearby had reported sightings of mysterious activity. People had been going missing, too. They were frightened as they very well should be. There was a real possibility that one of them, not the people, were responsible. It was only natural that he'd take his time in wandering about this place. Well not quite wandering around due to the fact that he was actually accomplishing something or he hoped he would.

His mind began to drift as he saw nothing of importance. Perhaps he was wrong and they weren't responsible for the Villager's troubles. It could just as easily be something else that had caused that Village's woes. He snapped himself out of it. He wouldn't accomplish anything by second guessing himself or letting his mind wander when he should be paying attention to every small detail. It was the small ones that usually counted the most.

There was a high pitched scream. He hesitated for what seemed like an eternity when it was only a few seconds. This was exactly what he had been looking/listening for. He headed towards the sound at a comfortable but speedy pace. There was no sense in tiring himself out and coming unprepared. That would just get him killed. Jarinn knew better. He slowed down when it came into sight confident that it hadn't spotted him. He would know by now if it had and it probably would have had it not been so occupied with a young woman. It was laughing.

She couldn't tear her eyes away from that of the child's. It was too much of a shock. It, the child, had glassy near-white eyes that looked like they should of have been a shade of blue…or was it green? It was hard to tell. She was reminded of her dream, no nightmare, and how in that dream all she heard was screaming and the same kind of laughter. This was different than that though. The screaming didn't continue and in that dream there was only one dead body. She half expected the demon to touch her back nonetheless and it was that thought that eventually broke her stare. She didn't want it touching her.

The demon seemed to gain control of himself enough to say, "Tick, tock. Your time is almost up." His voice had a sing-song quality to it. Senna turned her head toward him just in time to see his fingers flex. They had long sharp claws. She didn't think he'd need them to do what he planned on doing but then again she didn't plan on becoming like that child or the two adults.

Nothing ever goes according to plan. It was one of those important lessons that one needs to learn and understand. When things don't go according to plan it always seems to be against you but for once that wasn't the plan. For once it was the best thing that could have happened. It was, for Senna anyways.

Senna just stared as a purple flash came out of nowhere. The flash went straight towards the Monster. It was already in a battle stance but the words 'Tick, tock. Your time is almost up' came to mind. It was right when it said that except it was the one running out of time.
