The Snowday Chant

Shiny spoon beneath soft pillow,

Pajamas worn turned inside out,

Lynching lying non-believers,

Ignoring every inch of doubt.

And wearing only white today,

I flush an ice cube down the can,

I'm oddly sending chains with hope,

Becoming facebook snowday-fan.

Ancient dances for the weather,

Cookie sheet underneath my bed,

Ignoring all my work because

I'll do it tomorrow instead.

Fingers crossed and gaining power,

Urban myths in practice ever,

Praying harder than seen before,

Hoping God hears our endeavor.
