Fun in the Meadows
The strangest thing happened to me the other day, I was walking by the old 'green fields' and I saw a great big grey wolf playing leap frog. Sept' it was playing its own version, 'leap sheep'. At first I thought I'd gone mad or that I was having a dream but the doctors would have told me if I had any mental problems and I was not dreaming because I saw Jackson walk by. And no way in a million years would anyone dream about Jackson.
I looked back at the field; the wolf was still jumping around. Even stranger, was that the sheep joined in. But every time someone else went past they would stop. But that was just the first thing I saw, I saw a squirrel smoking and drinking' booze yesterday. Jeez, I reckon that there's something in their food. Or maybe someone spiked my food.
I reckon there's some kind of secret conspiracy, where the governments trying to drive me insane. Which is crazy, the only thing they want from a person like me is my money. Maybe I should lie down? I told Krystal yesterday, she thinks I'm insane to but she'd never admit it. Maybe they're right, maybe I am going crazy. So I go for a quick walk this morning and decide to get on a bus to the city. I saw a tree of traffic lights. I asked the bus driver if he saw it to.
"Yeah, I see it," he tells me, slightly amused, "the government put it in last year, it gets confusing sometimes, but we get a good laugh out of it."
I get off and catch the next bus into town. I feel confused. A tree made of traffic lights, when I thought things couldn't get worse; I see a tree made of traffic lights. I walk across the dirt road, I ran straight into a gum tree, what an idiot. To busy talking to myself. I suddenly wake up with a jolt, maybe it was a dream, a dream about wolves playing leap sheep and the sheep retaliating, about a squirrel smoking and drinking and about a tree made completely of traffic lights.
I laughed at myself, how silly, as if that was really possible, what a crazy dream. Maybe I should see the doctor today. I look outside; it's raining upside down…
