She turned towards him and smiled. "I was wondering when you'd be coming in here." Leon smiled awkwardly and sat down. She jumped down from the counter and walked over to him. "What did the doctor say?" He looked up at her and took a deep breath.
"You have amnesia," Leon answered.
She stared at him confused. "What's amnesia?"
"It means you have lost your memory, and apparently a lot of it."
"Oh," she paused, "Is it permanent?"
"I don't know, but we are going to do everything we can to help you."
"Thank you." She sat back down on the counter and put her head in her hands. "I just wish I could remember my name."
"Well I got some good news for you," Leon said with a smile.
"What is that?"
"Well since we don't know who you are, I thought that we should give you a name. I got one for you, and I hope you like it."
"What is it!?"
"Nautia."
"Nautia." She closed her eyes and repeated the name. "Nautia, what a beautiful name."
"It means from the sea. I hope you like it."
"I love it." She looked up at him and smiled brightly.
He smiled. "Well, now that you have a name, I think it's time we get you in some new clothes." She looked down out her tattered dress, blushed, and nodded in agreement. "I'll take you to the best seamstress in town. We will get you some new clothes and get you started in your new life." He grabbed her hand and led her out the door.
"Wait one moment," she said. Nautia released his hand, ran to the doctor, and embraced him. "Thank you so much."
"It was no trouble at all," he said smiling. "Now go and get some proper clothes." She smiled and kissed him on the cheek goodbye. She followed Leon out of the doctor's office and closed the door. When he was sure they were gone the doctor let out a soft laugh and shook his head. "Looks like Leon found himself a wild one. I hope he can handle her."
