He arrived with friends pure and eternal

Along with thoughts known to be celestial.

He was discerning and very clever

And seemed to be always and forever.

Youth is innocence that hasn't been lost

Before the troubles of life takes it cost.

Like a disease that engulfs him slowly

He loses his humanity very quickly.

Malevolence is always enticing

To the children his ideas alluring.

His evil ways became pure disastrous

For now his thoughts became pure heinous.

Youth will always conquer the evil night

In the end, innocence prevails with light.

This is a poem we had to write for English. We had to base it off any short story or novel we read this year. So my friend and I wrote it about Jack how he arrives all pure and then turns to evil and then how Ralph wins in the end (I guess kinda) and doesn't get killed.
