34AN: As it has been pointed out to me, I haven't put a disclaimer on this. I thought I had but I guess it didn't work or whatever. Anyway, this is my disclaimer. Not all these characters are mine. This is a story based on my rp and some characters in this story are those of my friends. I'm sorry this disclaimer is added so late.
Prologue
A cloudy night. A young neko stood, face turned to the sky. The wind blew his emo styled black hair into his face. His eyes were dark, almost black. His cat ears and tail match his black hair. The male is well built with good muscles, which were clearly shown through the tight black top he wore. Black loose jeans and biker boots were all he wore. A long scar ran up his left arm, fading, but still noticable.
Ryuu stood by the gates of The Monster Academy. It was late and the moon was high overhead. The sky was a shade lighter than its usual black thanks to the thick clouds and silver glow of moonlight. The wind howled and Ryuu raised his eyebrows ever so slightly at the building before him. A school. It was big; an old castle which had been bought by Madame Guignol, a witch and the headmistress of the school. The school was said to be skilled in teaching a number of skills to creatures of all sorts that could learn at their own pace. Ryuu twitched his neko ears and glared at the castle that lay beyond the rusting iron gates before him. He gave a sigh and pressed a hand to the metal of the gate. It wasn't locked, the gates never were unless there was an emergancy in the school.
Just as he pushed open the gates, Madame Guignol came strutting out the castle doors. She was a curvy woman of average height. Her blond hair was in ringlets and pilled upon her head in a grand style more suited to a ball. Her dress was also grand and ball-worthy and Ryuu instantly could tell that he would not like this woman.
"You must be Ryuu. Welcome" Madame Guignol said, reaching out her hand for him to shake, which he stared at blankly until she withdrew it. She glanced at Ryuu's rather obvious lack of bags and turned to walk back into the castle. "I'll led you to your room. I assume you've read our rules. If not they are in each room. Each student, if their guardian cannot provide, will recieve money for clothing and books. Do spend it wisely." Ryuu by this point had stopped listening.
The grand entrance hall was the typical castle entrance, but had been recreated into a more modern style. It was depressing to the nineteen year old neko. Knowing that the building once had character which was ripped away and disposed off to make room for plasma televisions and out of place pine doors. Soon Ryuu was stood outside a large dark wooden door. Madame Guignol unlocked and opened the door. Once stepping inside she placed the key on a small table and gestured for Ryuu to come in. He did and was instantly uneasy. He had spent years living in the streets, so even to sleep in a proper bed was a luxury and very rare. So when he walked into the royal looking room that was now his he was stunned, though didn't show it to Madame Guignol. The golds and blacks of the room added to the atmosphere that the grand fireplace created. It was very magnificant.
"...A restroom which is entirely your's. Towels and all toiletries are provided for. Television and internet usage is free but monitored. I allow no vulgar searches. That is all. Your class list and times are here. Do not be late. Goodnight, and welcome again Ryuu." She left after handing him two sheets of paper, which he dropped carelessly the moment the door was closed. On the back of the door a map was pinned up. A map of the dormitories of the school. Ryuu clicked the lock on his key and walked over to the window, making sure he stood on the class times. He threw back the gold satin curtains and looked out into the night. There was a forest behind the castle and Ryuu was certain that there would be danger in there. He sighed and sat down upon one of two black armchairs and kicked his shoes off. He briefly wondered how long it would be until he was kicked out.
