The Great Outdoors 07/22/2009
The wind; a warm breeze
Swiftly moves through the trees
The river; a cool and tranquil flow
The sun causes the surface to glow
Leaves of all colors; high and low
Such beautiful scenery it has to show
A salamander basks in the stagnant water
The rocks made by the hands of a potter
The deep pool; clear as glass
All around grows tall wheat and grass
The water; refreshing to the touch
A sturdy stick; an old man's crutch
The great outdoors; wild and free
A place I can truly be me
To explore the world unknown
Oh, how my curiosity has grown
Wandering aimlessly with no direction
Mother nature's artistic perfection
A place I've admired since I was three
There is no place I'd rather be
